Strawberry Hot Springs boasts multiple pools surrounded by stones, the floors of the hot springs pools are covered in sand and filled with hot mineral-rich water. Beneficial to the body, the coolest pool is around 102°F. The nearby pond and creek’s temperatures drop drastically, making it great for a quick heart-pumping plunge.
After dinner at Basecamp, Baheaya will be holding a sacred cacao ceremony around the campfire. For the indigenous tribes of South and Central America, cacao represents the blood of the ancestors and is a sacred plant that opens the heart and awakens the spirit. In a traditional cacao ceremony, the cacao is harvested and prepared with pure intention and reverence. Each step has a meaning and significance and specific tools are used to represent each of the elements. The final goal of the ceremony is to create Ka-Ka-Wa - meaning the combination of masculine energy with feminine energy and spirit for the intention of bringing new life and spiritual re-birthing.
These practices date back over 7500 years and can be traced to the origin of cacao in Jaen, Peru, and the temple of Monte Grande. Tribes from both South and Central America continue these traditions in the modern-day cacao ceremonies and see cacao as being an integral tool to awakening the spirit for rebirth and change. This ceremony we would consider today to be a type of embodiment practice that focuses on neuroplastic change, creating new neural pathways, behaviors and ways of seeing the world.
Cacao is a heart Chakra opener for your healing for remembrance for connecting with One Love it unites us and awakens parts of us that have been asleep.
