WELCOME TO ACCRA
Upon arrival you will be taken to your hotel, have a time to rest before we gather for a special Orientation Meeting. You will have the opportunity to exchange money, shop at a private bazaar with hand-picked vendors by Michelle (her favorites) and get measured for custom-made garments. Following a lovely networking dinner at the hotel, we will turn in early to prepare for the next day! We're just getting started!

A TOUCH OF CULTURE
The day begins spiritually, giving thanks to God. After attending a church service, we stop for lunch before visiting the renowned Art Center, a world filled with art, crafts the experience of bartering! Freshen up for an elegant dinner at one of Accra's premier restaurant and enjoy the breathtaking city view. The next day will bring a new adventure!

ACCRA CITY TOUR
It’s all about taking in the city on an eye-opening tour-- stopping at sites such as the Nkrumah Mausoleum, the historical James Town, Black Star Square, and the famous DuBois Center. Stopping for lunch and checking out the bustling Oxford Street, and checking out the famous Makola market.

The journey to Kumasi will give you a picturesque view of the country as we travel. Stopping along the way you will get to see first hand how they weave our traditional kente cloth, learn about the meaning of our adinkra symbols, do some shopping in the craft village and dine in the Cultural Center before turning in for a sound sleep.

REVISITING YOUR HISTORY- CAPE COAST
Enjoying the sights on the way to Cape Coast is where the journey to rediscovery begins.

We will go back in time to the origins of the slave trade by visiting two of the most famous slave dungeons and paying tribute to the ancestors.

A DAY OF REDISCOVERY
Get up early to see the rising of the sun and the fishermen bringing in their nets laden with the fruit of the ocean. Then off to Assin Manso where the slaves took their last bath before being sent to the dungeons followed by a special

Naming Ceremony, where you will receive your Ghanaian name!

The afternoon is full of options-- Take a walk through Kakum Forest and take a walk on their suspended bridges high above the forest floor. Take the Cape Coast City tour or languish on the beach. The choice is yours.

We will unpack the day over dinner and a reception at “Villa Ayodele” Michelle’s Cape Coast home. Followed by an introspective soul-searching session, "A Journey to Wholeness" with Michelle.

It promises to be an unforgettable day.

The tour coordinators delivered everything their brochure promised, and much more. All staff and assistants were knowledgeable, extremely courteous, and beyond kind. Their attention to detail was particularly noteworthy; we wanted for nothing. The accommodations were excellent, transportation timely and efficient, and the sites we visited were life-inspiring. The itinerary was sufficiently flexible and well-planned to easily allow for real-time changes due to unpredictables such as weather. The ability of the MMH coordinators to accommodate the individual needs, desires, and personalities of everyone within our travel group, while maintaining a truly enjoyable time for all, cannot be over exaggerated! A huge thank you to our amazing travel host, Michelle, whose care and planning made every step feel intentional and deeply personal. Special thanks as well to our phenomenal guides, Chief Kelvin and Joel, who not only ensured we saw the best of Ghana but also beautifully documented the journey, capturing each moment with heart.
