About this trip

Saturday October 13th

1-4pm

In a consent-based, touch-positive context, we explore playful connection through yoga poses and Thai massage. With an emphasis on communication and safety, we'll use each other's weight and leverage to deepen our experience of being in the poses and in our bodies.

You don’t need to bring a partner. This class offers a unique opportunity to relate deeply to another person - whether it’s a family member, a romantic partner, or a new friend you’ve just met in class.

Co-faciliated by Rachel Heron and Sierra Wagner

I began my journey as a yogini in 1992. I was fortunate enough to live close to the original Jivamukti studio in the East Village of New York City. My first teachers were David Life and Sharon Gannon, who were the innovators of the Jivamukti style of Hatha yoga. In 1994 I received my yoga teacher certification from the Sivananda Ashram, and began teaching right away. I have studied many styles of Hatha yoga, including Kripalu, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Forrest, and Anusara. I have been blessed with many esteemed teachers in these varying traditions. I live in Oakland, CA, with my husband of 23 years and our 13 year old son. I've been teaching yoga in the Bay Area since 1996, and also maintain a private practice offering bodywork and spiritual counseling.

I enjoyed a beautiful day of yoga and meditation. Rachel's energy is both calming and motivating.
