Condoriri

Driving across the Altiplano, Condoriri is one of the most striking mountain groups in the Cordillera Real. The three highest peaks together look like a condor lifting its wings before takeoff. According to legend, the largest and most ferocious condors of the Andes live around Condoriri. Peasants leave their babies there to be feed and brought up by the condors. These babies then grow up to be human condors.

Departure 07:30 a.m. from the meeting point or from your hotel (if it is located in the centre). Drive from La Paz to the Base Camp (La Rinconada).

Next, we prepare for the trekking, and we will climb slowly until we reach 4700 m. (15.419ft.), this is also where the impressive ChiarKhota Lagoon is. Therefore, there we will take a comforting rest, at the same time we will enjoy our snacks, as we will continue walking upward until we reach (5350 m./17,552ft). Likewise, this is where the Austria Peak is located, we will make a brief stop. After enjoying the wonderful view, we will return to the lagoon. Finally, it will be time to return to the city, arriving in La Paz around 19:00 p.m.
