As life goes on sometimes, as women, we have to remind ourselves that we are D'VAs. Imagine stepping off the plane and into "Caribbean" luxe and emerging yourself in six days and five nights of deep introspection. You will return home feeling rejuvenated and connected with self (your inner D'VA). We will start each day with sunrise yoga and meditation. Enjoy meals prepared by our personal chefs, and experience the Jamaican culture. Most days, we will have group sessions and afternoon Buti yoga. In addition, there will be opportunities to indulge in massages and Reiki sessions. The retreat will culminate with a special D'VA ceremony.

For those unfamiliar with the Buti yoga modality, let's start by stating that Buti promotes a community coming to the mat with intention, without judgment, leaving the mat with the feeling of empowerment and being part of something bigger than themselves. Buti allows everyone to tap into their inner energy through wild and liberating movements. Buti derives from an Indian word (Marathi) meaning "a cure that has been hidden or kept secret." As a Butisattva, we believe that healing comes from within, and Buti helps strip away the layers that hide the cure and brings about total transformation. You will leave your first Buti session feeling badass, fierce, and SEXY!

During the retreat, daily free time will be abundant, and all sessions are optional yet encouraged, so you receive the full benefit. We designed the retreat to encourage slowing down, relaxing, sleeping and eating well, having fun, exploration, and most importantly - connecting with self (your inner D'VA)

Each villa comes with a maid and chief, is air-conditioned, and a bathroom in each room, tastefully furnished, each with a living/dining room area, kitchen, and patio. The villas are either one, two, or three-bedrooms, and each bedroom is suitable for double occupancy ($750 savings). 

Pricing is by ROOM and includes meals 3x per day, yoga 2x per day (most days), meditation, workshop, excursions (2), taxes/fees, and gratuity.

Yoga found me through Buti Yoga in 2016.  Prior to Buti yoga I never did yoga or even thought about it.   But once I started I was hooked. To which amazes me and I wish I found yoga in my younger days.  I enjoy teaching others, especially my granddaughters yoga asanas. I like most styles of yoga but Buti is my favorite.  I like the combination of movements and the challenge it gives my body.  Yoga has taught me to appreciate the body I have and at any size and that it can do some amazing things.

This retreat affords me the opportunity to share my love of yoga and meditation.  i enjoy showing others how to make that mind and body connection.  To get out of their heads and just move in a safe effective , challenging fun way.

I started my yoga journey eight years ago when I was in a really bad place - Yoga probably saved my life. So, although I knew absolutely nothing about the craft, I embarked upon my certification in 2017. 

What draws me to yoga is yoga is transformative. Once you understand that while on the mat, no one is looking at you and judging you - you can just be you. I've never been flexible, and with my recent paralysis, I have to modify most poses to suit my body. Yoga allows me the freedom to do just that - adjust to me. 

A basic-yoga class or Yin with soothing music can be like making love. Now add Buti, and my inner D'Va emerges fierce and unapologetically. If yoga saved my life, the Buti modality helped me understand that healing transcends that which is physical but speaks directly to the soul, mind, and spirit.

In addition to yoga, I teach other group fitness classes, have a life/health coaching practice, and am a Reiki Master. If that is not enough, I am studying to be a sound healer. My passion is working with people, especially women, and helping them through their metamorphosis.

Oh, why Jamacia? If you know me, you know I am a "JaMerican." In all my travels, Jamacia is the only country where I feel I belong when I set my feet on the ground. So it's only natural I share my love for Yoga in Jamacia with you!
