DAY 1 | August 26 - Beach Lab Conservation Experience

Today, science meets exploration through an engaging field-based marine conservation experience.

Begin with an interactive beachside workshop focused on marine ecosystems, species identification, and the ecological importance of the Galápagos Marine Reserve. Guided by conservation educators, you will gain practical knowledge before entering the water.

At Playa de la Estación, enjoy a guided snorkeling session dedicated to fish identification and marine biodiversity observation. Learn how scientists monitor reef communities while observing native species in their natural habitat.

This experience transforms a traditional snorkeling excursion into a meaningful educational encounter that fosters a deeper appreciation for marine conservation.

Included: Snorkel mask, educational materials, instructors, and box lunch

DAY 2 | August 27 - Educational Excursion Tortuga Bay

Today, become part of a real conservation effort while discovering one of the most iconic beaches in the Galápagos.

Begin with a guided coastal walk to Tortuga Bay, where you will learn about the island's unique coastal ecosystems, native flora, and the growing challenge of marine plastic pollution. Together with local instructors and youth eco-leaders, participate in a hands-on microplastics monitoring and beach cleanup activity, contributing valuable data that supports ongoing conservation initiatives.

After experiencing conservation in action, enjoy time to relax and connect with the extraordinary marine environment. Swim in the crystal-clear waters or explore the bay with a guided snorkeling session, observing the biodiversity that depends on these protected ecosystems.

This immersive experience combines citizen science, environmental stewardship, and outdoor exploration, creating a meaningful connection between visitors and the fragile coastal landscapes of the Galápagos.
