Life moves fast. We are all so busy. Here is your chance to slow down and get back to nature. Imagine, a week long savasana surrounded by a jungle paradise. 

During our stay, we will have full use of the Tierra de Suenos Lodge & Wellness Center, located in Playa Chiquita, 6 kms from Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. A serene and lush jungle hideaway on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. The resort sits between the pristine Costa Rican beaches of Playa Chiquita and spectacular rainforest. It is only a 5 minute walk to the beach. 

The retreat center is known for it's amazingly fresh, healthy vegetarian meals. You may choose a vegetarian option, or you can opt to add chicken or seafood to 4 dinners. Non life threatening food allergies can be accommodated. All your meals are included. 

We will stay in charming bungalows nestled among the trees. Far from commercial tourism, ecotourism gets you close to nature so you can enjoy a wide variety of plant, animal and marine life. Costa Rica is famous for their desire to promote ecological conservation. The bungalows have no AC, instead relying on open air construction with screens to invite the Caribbean breezes in and ceiling fans to keep the air flowing. Emphasis here is on conservation and respecting the natural resources of the land.   

The property is home to sloths and monkeys, butterflies and birds! There is an open air yoga deck surrounded by green where we will practice energizing yoga in the mornings and relaxing yoga in the evenings. There is a wellness center on site where you can sign up for massage, reiki, Thai bodywork, or relax and detox in the infrared sauna.

We will have opportunities for group activities and fun, as well as solitude and reflection. You can customize your own adventure. During two days in the middle of the retreat you will be able to select from many excursions available like surf lessons, snorkeling, kayaking, zip lines, or guided waterfall hikes. Or you may opt for a quieter week, lounging in a hammock, or basking on the beach, renting a bike and riding a few miles into town, or visiting the Jaguar Rescue Center down the road. The excursions are personal choice and will be up to you, most costing between $70-$90 each, so plan to bring a couple hundred US$$ in cash for these.  

There are a handful of restaurants, a grocery store, and a souvenir shop within walking distance. And there is a larger town a few miles away with a lively night-life, dancing and entertainment. Taxis and Tuk Tuks are available to transport you, or you can rent a bike and ride.  

Airfare is not included. A group shuttle will be provided from San Jose (SJO) airport for those arriving before noon on March 8th and departing midday on the 15th. Attempts will be made to coordinate participants onto the same flights for shared transportation to and from the retreat center. If you arrive or depart at different times/days, we will help you arrange your own private transportation to and from the Retreat.

There will be no refunds given for canceling after 11:59pm on 1/6/26 but you may apply a 50% credit (minus the $500 deposit) toward a future retreat with RealJoy Retreats.
