About this trip

This will be an unforgettable tour to Costa Rica where you will enjoy the amazing sites of such a beautiful country while having an amazing educational experience with an intercultural exchange with a local school!!

Pre-Departure Documentation: It is important that you carefully read all trip-related

contact us if any information is incorrect. We cannot accept any liability if you do not notify

us of any inaccuracies within 6 days of your receipt of those documents. This agreement, a

waiver of liability and assumption of risk agreement and, if required, a medical statement or

certification must be signed and submitted by you. If you fail to submit this and other

necessary documentation prior to departure, we reserve the right to treat your booking as

cancelled by you and impose the cancellation fees described in this agreement.

Entry Requirements: All foreign visitors must meet legal entry requirements. It will be the

PARTICIPANT's obligation to check that she meets all the entry requirements. The entry

Passports and Visas: You are responsible for ensuring that all necessary travel documents

are valid and effective and in your possession for the entire tour. Passports are required for

all foreign citizens traveling abroad and should be valid for at least 6 months after your date

of return. We suggest you apply for or renew a passport early. Other required documents

may include visas, permits, and vaccination certificates. You assume complete and full

responsibility for checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry

requirements. You are also solely responsible for any adverse consequences resulting from

incomplete or defective documentation. While we may provide information or advice on

matters such as visas, vaccinations, climate, clothing, baggage, and special equipment in

good faith as a courtesy to you, we are not responsible for any errors or omissions as to the

information provided.

Costa Rica’s capital and the largest city in the country, San Jose is considered to be among the most cosmopolitan cities in Latin America. Downtown San Jose is the busiest part of town. A maze of streets and avenues, here you can find most of the city’s museums as well as several hotels and plazas.

 

In the center of the city, several attractions can be found, such as the National Theater, the National Museum, and the Jade Museum. Also, several parks like Plaza de La Cultura and Parque Morazan are interesting places to visit. In San Jose exist a wide variety for gastronomic, each corner of the city has great restaurants or the famous Barrio Escalante, a gastronomic center where high-quality food is offered. But for more local and typical food the central market offers tasty food.

La Fortuna is home to the greater Arenal recreation area, the entire region is paradise on Earth for outdoor adventurers. Volcanic views grace the landscape and heat several geothermal hot springs. A lake and rivers beckon you toward aquatic adventure. Refreshing waterfalls reward you after hikes, offering crisp pools and spectacular views. 

Arenal Volcano is one of Costa Rica’s most notable natural features. Standing at 5,437 feet (1,657 meters), this volcano has been resting (i.e. not active) since 2010. However, it is no less majestic to behold, as it’s practically a behemoth against the region’s perfect skies. Rising above the rainforest that surrounds its base, Arenal Volcano frames the skyline with near-perfect symmetry.

Arenal Volcano Ecological Park is a stunning natural reserve located near La Fortuna, Costa Rica. This park offers visitors the opportunity to explore diverse ecosystems, including lush rainforests, wetlands, and volcanic landscapes. Guests can hike various trails that provide breathtaking viewsof the Arenal Volcano and the surrounding flora and fauna. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including monkeys, sloths, and numerous bird species. It’s an ideal destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of Costa Rica’s natural environment.

Enjoy a tour through the magnificent tropical forest ni Mistico Park and its energizing trails fulfonature and wildlife. Cross the hanging bridges and behold a majestic 18-meter-high (60 ft) waterfall from a comfortable trail, with non-slip surface and no steps, and experience this one-of-a-kind adventure. 

Great for relaxing without the crowds, perfect for couples and friends looking for a special revitalizing experience. Spend a day at Paradise Hot Springs Resort and relax in natural thermal water pools and jacuzzis of different temperatures with focused hydromassage for back, legs, and feet. The Resort also respects the maximum capacity of visitors to provide a peaceful atmosphere.  There are showers, massages and body treatments service, food, and drink, as well as reclinable beds, sun umbrellas, and relaxing music along with the pool areas. All of the necessary elements for a magnificent and relaxing experience.

Dinner is included before coming back to the hotel.

La Fortuna River Waterfall

The Fortuna River waterfall is located in a biological reserve of transition pre montane tropical wet forest, part of the Arenal Volcano National Park.  To observe this splendid 70 meters high waterfall, visitors must pass a path of approximately 530 steps, which offers greater security to its passage and comfortable areas for rest and hydration through a forest with native trees of the area. Once in front of the waterfall, you will find a spacious and comfortable vantage point from which you can freeze your memories using unique and previously unpublished photographs, and finally take a refreshing swim in the clear waters of the Fortuna River.

Today a special intercultural exchange with a local school is planned for you by a local school in La Fortuna. You will travel a rural community to visit a local school to interact with local students. This is a perfect time for student to see how the education system is in other countries. The local coordinator will organize different activities on which the foreign and students will share and learn from each other.

Morning Free or Pool Time

 During this journey, our tour guide will take you to some of the most important sites to know the socio-economic and cultural value of La Fortuna. This place has had great tourist growth in recent years thanks to its great potential and scenic beauty.

 

During this special evening session, students will have the opportunity to share their knowledge with local children through an interactive instrument demonstration. Participants will introduce different instruments, explain how they work, and showcase their unique sounds and characteristics. 

This experience is designed to be dynamic and educational, allowing younger children to learn about music in a fun and inspiring way. The evening is meaningful cultural exchange—fostering connection, confidence, and a shared appreciation for music.

Canopy Tour / Travel to San Jose

Farewell Dinner

Canopy Tour at Arenal Ecoglide Park. Looking for adventure? Experience one of Costa Rica’s most iconic activities — the canopy tour! At Arenal Ecoglide Park, you’ll soar through the treetops on 11 cables, 13 platforms, and a suspension bridge, all designed with a double-cable system for maximum safety.

The tour is divided into two sections, with cable lengths ranging from 100 to 430 meters and heights up to 25 meters. In just about two hours, you’ll combine adrenaline, breathtaking rainforest views, and unforgettable memories.

All good things must come to an end, and it’s time to say goodbye to this magical land and its wonderful people. Our professional driver will pick you up on time in the lobby of your hotel in San José, assist you with your luggage, and take you comfortably and safely to Juan Santa María International Airport. We recommend being ready ahead of time, and remember to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before your flight to avoid any last-minute stress.
