Enjoy 6 days, 5 nights in paradise. Montezuma is a beautiful, quaint beach town in Costa Rica where the jungle meets the ocean. We will be staying at Ylang Ylang resort, a small resort right on the beach that boarders a nature reserve. The nature reserve offers miles of unpopulated sandy beaches and rock ledges, minutes from the resort. The resort has direct access to shore fishing opportunities with no limit to where you can fish.
Enjoy 4 days of boat (26' Panga) fishing with seasoned local captains and direct access to surf fishing and ledges right outside the resort. The trip will include 2 offshore fishing days chasing Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, Wahoo and Mahi Mahi. 2 inshore, half day, fishing trips chasing Rooster Fish, various Snapper species, Jacks and Mackerel. We will employ different fishing techniques; casting, jigging and trolling, using both artificial and live bait. The charters will have all equipment needed for boat fishing days but feel free to bring any of your own equipment for the shore fishing opportunities. Some previous fishing experience is recommended for this trip. While on the boat we will be using spinning gear to cast at our target species in close proximity to the others on the boat. In order to provide a fun and safe fishing experience we request that you have the ability to cast effectively and have some basic boat awareness while casting around others.
For those who like to adventure you can hike to the famous waterfall in town and cool off swimming in the waterfalls swimming holes. There is a a great zip lining course through the jungle or you can take surfing lessons at the main beach. There are so many different options to customize your trip to what you need.
The price includes 5 nights lodging, breakfast and dinner daily and 4 days of boat fishing. There is an option to bring a spouse/partner/non-fishing friend. Their cost includes lodging, breakfast and dinner daily. If you are looking for a room option for more than 2 people or would like to upgrade your room, to an oceanfront dome, please message us.
