For those seeking additional privacy and comfort, we offer the option to stay in a single room. Enjoy your own personal space to relax and unwind after each day's activities, while still being part of the immersive group experience. This option provides a serene environment for reflection and rest, perfect for those who prefer solitude during their stay.
Choosing a double room provides an opportunity to connect with a fellow participant on a deeper level. Sharing a room allows for spontaneous conversations, the chance to share stories and insights, and the potential to form meaningful relationships.
Staying in a double room has led to life-long friendships and even professional partnerships that continue well beyond the experience. It's a unique way to bond with like-minded individuals, learn from each other, and expand your network in a supportive and immersive environment.
For those wishing to deepen their connection to Costa Rica’s rich cultural heritage, we offer an optional extension to visit the Boruca Indigenous Community. This immersive experience provides a unique opportunity to learn from the Boruca people, who have preserved their ancestral traditions and wisdom for centuries.
During your stay, you will explore the history of the Boruca people, who lived in Costa Rica long before the arrival of the Conquistadors and the United Fruit Company. You'll gain firsthand insight into their art, craftsmanship, and spiritual practices, including participation in a sacred Cacao ceremony, which honors their connection to the land and their heritage.
This extension offers a rare chance to engage with indigenous wisdom and learn about sustainable practices rooted in the ancient knowledge of Costa Rica’s first inhabitants. It’s the perfect way to conclude your journey, with deeper insights into the cultural and ecological significance of the region.
Upon arrival in San José, our driver will greet each participant at the airport and provide a transfer to a centrally located hotel (airport transfer is available for all participants, regardless of arrival time). The afternoon is yours to unwind and settle in. You may choose to relax on the pool, explore the city, stroll through the parks, visit museums, join a food tour, or wander the bustling central market.
Later in the afternoon, we will host a Welcome Reception at Áurea, a local Farm to Table Restaurt and zero waste center.
The participants will receive an introduction to the socio-economic challenges and opportunities of the country from our hosts, Hans & Lila, as well as from Jhon Fonseca (former Vice-Minister of Foreign Commerce) and Dr. Arturo Condo (President of Earth University).
We will also explore why it is crucial to engage the private sector in protecting the beauty, biodiversity, and cultural heritage of this rapidly growing country, which is increasingly threatened by gentrification.
