Leave the routine of your daily life and come home. Come home to what you already have and already know. Oftentimes, the obligations and routines of our daily life challenge our ability to connect with our inner wisdom.

The practices of yoga, meditation, journal writing, and discussion will, throughout the week, help guide us back to the place within each one of us which is our home base.

Our intention is to provide an opportunity to find the tranquil space within via the practices of yoga, meditation and mindfulness. During our twice daily scheduled time together, we will weave these practices together, so that the physical practice of yoga may become the metaphor for the inner journey

This Costa Rica retreat naturally offers the silence, space and beauty to slow down, tune in, connect and journey home to the wisdom necessary to do your life’s work. Yoga is used as the organic metaphor for life experiences. Away from the busyness and routines, a new rhythm arises; A rhythm woven with movement, nurturing and deep connection. Challenge, feel and connect to the wisdom always available and already within you.

Daily practices of mindfulness, meditation and journaling will be easily incorporated beyond the retreat environment. Take home with you the ability to connect amidst the storm of life’s challenges and beauty.

We have a variety of beautiful lodging options available at the Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort:

Shared Triple Dorm Room Spaces: These spaces are sold on a per-person basis and include one bed in a shared triple dorm-style room with a restroom for the three of you to share and your own private closet. Great for solo travelers or groups of friends to stay together.

Queen Treetop Single Suites: These rooms are perfect for the solo traveler that prefers their own space. These rooms are booked for one traveler and feature a queen bed and a private restroom.

Jungle Room Double Suites: The suites are perfect for friends, family, and couples traveling together who prefer a nicer private room and a private restroom. Each suite features two queen beds and sleeps a total of two people. The price to reserve a suite includes the fees for two travelers in total. We do not assign you a roommate with these suites, you are planning to travel with another person in your party.

King Bungalow Deluxe Suites: These suites are designed for couples traveling together and feature a king bed, a private restroom, and a beautiful space to relax together. The price to reserve the suite includes the fees for two travelers in total staying together in the suite.

Queen Bungalow Deluxe Suites: These suites feature two queen beds, a private restroom, and a beautiful space to relax together. The price to reserve the suite includes the fees for two travelers in total staying together in the suite.

Bodhi Villa King Suites: These luxurious suites are designed for couples traveling together and feature a king bed, a private restroom, and a beautiful space to relax together. The price to reserve the suite includes the fees for two travelers in total staying together in the suite.

Bodhi Casitas: These larger spaces are designed to hold either 2, 3 or 4 guests (depending on configuration) and have two separate bedrooms, 1 with a king or queen bed and another bedroom with 2 twin beds or a queen.

I have been following Erin since lock down in 2020 and I knew early on that she was my teacher. To have the opportunity to participate in this retreat, to meet her in person and to practice with her was priceless. Erin is the same on camera as she is in person. She is authentic, real, passionate about the practice of yoga and a very sweet person. Her style of yoga is intense and deliberate, and I love the way she uses the entire mat, moving from pose to pose like a dance. When you leave your mat, you do so feeling renewed, refreshed and relaxed. Erin and Matt are an amazing team, so real, very open and humble. They are passionate about making a contribution to improving people's lives for the better through the practice of yoga. The retreat was planned and organized with every detail taken care of. The accommodations were clean, good food served on time and the staff at Casas Kismet were friendly and very helpful. For me the retreat was truly a life transforming experience on so many levels. I left there feeling so spacious and a deep sense of inner peace. Thank you Erin and Matt. You are the best!

1) Yoga classes were carefully planned and very useful to me. Perhaps more corrections on a one to one basis are needed from Erin; 2) A buffet would be a better choice next time to prevent so much food waste; 3) Please have bottled water instead of tap water for guests. Constant coversation around being sick from water consumption (not my case) was very tiring to me; 4) Matt has to be more responsive to shuttle bus arrangements instead of leaving this job to the owner of the hotel who really did not care at all; 5) I was charged too much for transportation when going to Papagayo Mangrove which is on the way to Liberia, even before Guardia. People going further (to Liberia) paid half. I was ripped off; 6) The hotel should receive payment by credit or debit card; building a larger water tank may be also be very useful; 7) Please be aware that costs in Costa Rica for people who do not earn dollars are very high. Keep up with the good work.

This was the trip of a lifetime. Matt and Erin are so personable and do absolutely everything they can to make sure you have everything you need. They are available and professional. The planning and agenda is perfectly balanced. And the yoga classes speak for themselves. Amazing instruction, a variety of poses and class styles, hands on adjustments as preferred, props and mats available, awesome atmosphere. There's always more positive things to say!

We enjoyed a thoughtfully planned day of yoga. Erin knew how to attract women who would enjoy and benefit from each other. She set a great mood for the day. It was lovely to see her family involved. Yoga classes and discussion were all stimulating.

The thing I like most about this retreat is the passion, integrity, dedication and warmth of Erin and Matt Sampson. They both practice what they preach! They sincerely want you to have a memorable and beautiful experience on this yoga retreat so that you can return to your life with a full cup! Erin is a real teacher who enthusiastically wants you to learn more about yoga and meditation and knows how to share her knowledge. I went on this retreat knowing no one. I never felt lonely or left out. It was such a pleasure to meet everyone and be with like minded people who share a love for yoga and life. I would definitely do it again!
