Our flight arrived late, and I was worried we might miss the tour—but Alejandro was wonderful and happily accommodated our schedule. We had a fantastic time walking around, learning about San José, tasting coffee and chocolate, and enjoying a delicious bite to eat. We especially loved our conversations about Costa Rica. It was the perfect way to spend our first evening in the country. I highly recommend scheduling a tour with Foodies Costa Rica. Adriana was very response and great to correspond with!

You have to do this tour!!!! We learned so much! We took the San Jose and Coffee/Cacao tour with Daniel as our guide. He was incredibly friendly and sooo knowledgeable about everything. I’m so inspired I will be doing so much reading about all of it.

We had an excellent experience on the Costa Rican contemporary cuisine tour! The food experiences were unique, as were the restaurants. We got a fabulous coffee demonstration and tasting of Costa Rican coffees using four methods. I normally put milk in my coffee, but these coffees were so good that you didn't need any milk! We also had a very enjoyable experience at the bar where the friendly bartender treated us to cocktails and shots using Costa Rican liquors. All in all, this was a great experience!

Definitely recommend this trip. Host knows all the cool spots in the city. Very good food and the specialty coffee visit was amazing.

We had a really wonderful time. All the tastings were incredible, we got to walk and see a little of the neighbourhood, and our guide, Oscar, was excellent. I'd do it all over again :)
