Booking Page for this trip :
Have you ever been near an active volcano? Well, on this trip we will cycle close to the second highest active volcano on earth! If you are lucky, you will get to see some of that activity!
After a two hour drive reaching 3800 meters above sea level (12500 ft ASL), you’ll begin a thrilling, yet easy, descent through the beautiful paramo ecosystem to the northernmost entrance of Cotopaxi National Park. The trail mostly consists of a series of dirt paths along 10 kms (about 6.2 miles) of an incredible landscape known as the ‘Avenue of the Volcanoes’. Prepare yourself for many spectacular views, such as a glacial lagoon and a valley with amazing rock formations from previous Cotopaxi volcano eruptions. It will inspire awe for its gorgeous location between the Cotopaxi and Rumiñahui volcanoes.
Don’t believe it? Try it!
Note:
It is recommended to have some MTB experience on off-road routes in order to know how to control the bicycle in difficult terrains.
