Dynesha Henderson, LCSW is a couples and family therapist trained at the Ackerman Institute for the Family with 17 years of experience. She welcomes couples on retreat in Chicago, New York, and Florida where you'll learn research-based and foundational tools for building and maintaining healthy relationship dynamics.

Dynesha has been a therapist helping people navigate the complexities of relationships, life, love, partnership, and growth since 2009. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in New York, Illinois and Florida, Dynesha has supported hundreds of couples and families in rebuilding trust, improving communication, and rediscovering the connection that first brought them together.
Dynesha has specialized in couples and family therapy for the last 12 years following her specialized training from the renowned Ackerman Institute for the Family in New York; one of the leading institutes for advanced training in couples and family therapy. Through this work, she has developed a deep understanding of relational patterns, emotional dynamics, and the ways couples can move from anger and disconnection toward deeper empathy, compassion and partnership.
Throughout her career, Dynesha has helped hundreds of couples navigate the very challenges this retreat is designed to address. From communication breakdowns and unresolved conflict to rebuilding emotional safety and strengthening long-term partnership, this RESET format Dynesha developed allows couples to experience therapeutic work in a focused and immersive way, creating breakthroughs that might otherwise take months in traditional therapy.
Many of Dynesha’s clients describe her approach as deeply intuitive. She often shares that this work feels like a God given gift, and one she is honored to steward through the couples she serves. Her presence blends clinical expertise with warmth, insight, and compassion, creating a space where couples feel safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and open to change.
Dynesha’s philosophy is grounded in the belief that relationships are one of the most meaningful and influential parts of our lives. When a relationship is struggling, it impacts family, work, emotional well-being, and even physical health. As a therapist, but also a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, I know that when a relationship becomes a source of safety, connection, and support, it can transform all of those areas.

Schedule
Afternoon
• Arrival between 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
• Enjoy welcome drinks, settle in, and then we invite you to a round of massages and a chef's prepared dinner all at the beach house.
Evening
• Private chef welcome dinner
•During dinner, your retreat host will present a short overview of the relationship concepts we will discuss through out the week.

Afternoon
• Private time / beach / journaling
Evening

• Coaching (close out the day )session
• Sunset walk exercise (Appreciation exercise)
Goal: Teach conflict and communication repair tools

• 2-hour Couple's Coaching session

• Couple exercise: structured dialogue practice
• Couples excursion to practice dialogue tools learned
Evening
• Chef prepared dinner
• Couples (close out the day) session
Goal: build a shared relationship vision

Day 5:
Deep Emotional Work

Day 6:
Intimacy & Reconnection
Goal: restore emotional and physical closeness
Day 7:
Closure and intergration of day 5 and 6 into the couple's road map.
Goal: make sure progress continues at home
