Travel and Arrival Day

Departure Airport Check-In

Please be at your originating airport no later than 2 hours prior to your departure time. You are considered to be an international traveler, and there is mandatory early check-in requirement of 2 hours minimum. Make sure you have your passport with you and ensure that all your bags are tagged with your contact information and that your checked baggage is tagged through to Cozumel (airport code: CZM).

Arrival in Cozumel
Upon arrival in Cozumel, clear immigration, collect luggage and proceed through customs. You may also need to show proof of payment for the mandatory Visitor Tax (Visitax). Please bring a printed copy of this to show to the customs officers.

Transfer to Hotel

Transfers to the hotel are not included in the package, so outside of baggage claim look for the airport shuttle ticket booth (it is the last booth to your right as you come through the doors from customs, prices are clearly marked.) Purchase a one-way ticket for transport to Occidental Resort, you may pay in dollars or pesos.

Proceed outside to load into the specified van.

Arrival / Check-In at Resort
Upon arriving at the resort, fill out the necessary check-in forms, provide your passport for the resort to copy and a credit card for incidental charges. This is a good time to get all checked in with Pro Dive International who is located onsite before 5pm, if possible.


* A pool check is mandatory after more than one year without diving, and a refresher after two years.

At the resort, we have a number of dining options included in our package. There are 7 restaurants and 5 bars:

The nicer restaurants (La Carreta, Sonora, Los Olivos) have a dress code, so please pack accordingly:

Optional morning dive: Ensure you have 24 hours on the surface since your last dive prior to departure

Today is a good day for excursions off the resort, or to enjoy some of the resorts amenities.

Ideas: Top 10 things to do in Cozumel

At some point today, we recommend taking care of your check out procedures – pay for any incidental charges, etc. to make your departure go smoothly tomorrow. You can check in for your international flight within 24 hours of departure.

Departure Day

Today, you will be departing Mexico. Take care of final check-out procedures and make your own way by taxi to the airport, the front desk can arrange this for you. Please be sure to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to your departure time, bags tagged with your contact information and checked all the way to your final

destination.

Upon your first port of entry into the United States you will need to pick up your bags and go through customs and immigration. You can hand your bags to your airline’s baggage carrier in the recheck area if you have a layover and proceed to your gate for your final flight home.
