Crater Lake National Park is home to the deepest lake in the United States and is the only national park in Oregon. This turquoise blue lake and surrounding volcanic peaks are only a few of the many stunning sceneries to experience throughout this region. From the lush forests and plummeting waterfalls of the McKenzie River to the towering desert pinnacles of Smith Rock State Park, this trip journeys through some of Oregon's most spectacular landscapes!
This trip includes accommodations in a private home or condo rentals and hotels. The prices listed are for double occupancy. A single occupancy option can be applied if you wish to have your own room.
Required fitness level (1-5): (1 being low, 5 being high level of fitness) 2/5- This adventure may include 3-5 hours of continuous activities. Participants should be in good physical condition and able to walk for several miles (see itinerary for exact mileage) on uneven terrain. Many activities take place outdoors and you may be exposed to adverse weather conditions such as rain, heat, sun and insects. For the best experience, it is highly recommended that participants follow the packing list that is provided by the trip director. Our trip director will serve as a source of knowledge for planning and preparation prior to the trip. No experience necessary, just a calling for adventure!
Your trip begins by arriving in Bend, Oregon. Your local guides will meet you and the other members of the group to check into our accommodations for the night. During dinner, we will have a brief orientation to the adventures ahead. Tonight is simply about relaxing, settling in and enjoying your surroundings.
Travel to Bend, OR: Redmond Municipal Airport is just 25 minutes from the Bend city center and offers competitive flight options. Portland International Airport (PDX) is a larger airport but will require a 3.5 hr drive to Bend.
