About your trip

  

The tour itself includes three wonderful countries. Carefully picked we visit most exciting destinations along the way. The roads and riding routes have been studied and explored in order to deliver the best riding experience as we travel. Activities and excursion along the way are constructed to introduce you the culture, history and taste of this part of the Europe. Along the route we will spend evenings at most interesting destinations at 3* and 4* accommodations. We focus on food experience while riding through may different regions and countries. We want to deliver different experiences for each region as we go. We will taste different specialties and traditional foods as we travel. While traveling through three countries we will cross Croatian island and coast, beautiful mountains and hills of Slovenia, and visit picturesque Dolomite Mountain range and its villages. There will be a fleet of latest motorcycle models on the market to choose from. New BMW r1300GS, Ducati Multistrada V4, KTM and Husqvarna Norden 901 are perfect bikes to explore the area. Motorbikes are fully equipped with top cases and panniers, phone holders and chargers, navigation and riding modes. We encourage you to bring your own equipment, but we have equipment if needed. 

Tour will be accompanied by tour guide/leader. Experienced multi lingual guide with plenty experience of the area.  

What to expect from the tour?

  

On this tour we will introduce you three wonderful countries. You will see; the best coastal roads in Mediterranean, hidden beaches and sea cave in Pag island, Postojna cave, one of the biggest cave systems in the Europe, Dolomite’s peaks, Slovenian wilderness, stunning Ljubljana, famous Plitvice lakes, abandoned military base, Roman emperor palace in Split, and more. It doesn’t get much better than this.  We will mix different cultures, scenery and experiences from three beautiful countries. We will ride amazing Mediterranean coast, green Slovenian Alps, and fascinating Dolomites. The tour will take you to less traveled roads. Since we are locals and we now ins and outs, we believe we can deliver the best what these countries offer. We promise to avoid ques and tourist traps, and show you only places which are still undiscovered by mass tourism. Join us on outstanding motorbikes, curvy roads, and breath-taking sights.

Day 1: Split | 220 km

Coastal ride to Island of Pag

  

Day 1 (220 km/4 hours): Tour starts in Split, Desmo adventure office. We will be introduced to the guides, routes, motorbikes, equipment and details of Day 1. We will ride a country side and coastal roads toward Pag island. At Pag we will be accommodated in the hotel. A short rest at the pool and boat trip excursion will start in the afternoon. Walk in the old town of Pag.

Coastal road to Slovenia, Postojna cave.

  

Day 2 (230 km/5 hours): Tour leaves Pag island in the morning after breakfast. We will ride Pag island and take a short 30-minute ferry to main land. We will ride one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Europe. Three hours of windy coastal road is just a paradise for motorcycle riders. We will ride through two national parks toward Slovenia. In the late afternoon we will arrive to Postojna, Slovenia. Depending on the time, we will either visit the cave the same day, or tomorrow morning.

Reaching the Dolomite mountain range

  

Day 3 (300 km/6 hours): Tour leaves Postojna, Slovenia toward Dolomite. Leaving behind Postojna cave, we will enter amazing Slovenia countryside. While riding small picturesque villages soon we will start to cross mountain range toward Italian Dolomite mountains. Hidden roads will take us toward Cortina d’Ampezzo. Cortina d’Ampezzo is a pearl in the heart of Italian Dolomites. The area is known for natural beauties, twisty roads, amazing scenery and culture. 

Day 4 (230 km/5 hours)

 We will spend the day riding the Dolomites and famous mountain peaks and passes. The road takes us through mountain canyons while we make ascend to famous passes: Giau, Marmolada, Pordoi, Gardena and more… We spend relaxing evening in Cortina d’Ampezzo.  

Day 5 (280 km/6 hours)

Dolomite to Slovenian Alps to Ljubljana

  

Day 5 (280 km/6 hours): The tour takes us toward Slovenian capital, Ljubljana. Along the way we will ride east Dolomites and Slovenian Alps. We will be passing trough Kranjska gora, Bled and to Ljubljana. Evening will spend in Ljubljana downtown walking the city center.

Leaving sLOVEnia to Croatia, Plitivice national park and Željava base

  

Day 6 (220 km/5 hours): Leaving Ljubljana behind, we will ride toward Croatia again. In just under two hours, we will be back in Croatia going toward Plitvice national park. Plitvice lakes is one of the most famous national parks in Croatia. While there we will visit abandoned military airbase Željava. In order to explore Željava we will enter a network of underground tunnels and ride a good part of it. Željava served as airbase in old Yugoslavia. Now when abandoned it is a fascinating to witness ex-military infrastructure. 

Day 7 (220 km/4 hours)

Back to Adriatic coast and Šibenik

 We continue our ride toward the Croatian coast. We will ride Croatian country side toward town of Šibenik, which is our next destination. In Šibenik we will spend the time in old town and explore charming streets. The group will have an option to visit famous Krka waterfalls.

back to Split

 Our last day will be easy ride toward Split. Along the way we will stop for the traditional lunch. Early afternoon we will arrive to Split where we will have time to explore the old town of Split and famous Diocletian palace. Farwell diner will be in the old town of Split.

Explore Split, Croatia & 17 century old Diocletian palace

Spend a relaxing day in Split. Easy morning on the sunny beach, or even spend a day exploring the old town of Split. Learn something about Roman empire and Diocletian palace. Diocletian palac is well preserved roman town built by roman emperor Diocletian.
