Getting to the bird sanctuary will be an hour's drive from Belize City. The best time to look at the birds is early mornings or late afternoons so getting an early start is important. Upon arrival at the sanctuary, you’ll be introduced to a train bird guide who will accompany you for your guided tour. A small boat will be used to maneuver through the lagoon as your guide points out every tropical water bird and wildlife that could be seen. The duration of the tour is just over 2 hours. After returning to the starting point you will reconnect with your driver/guide who will bring you back to Belize City.
