Tour Ireland in luxury on 50'' canal boats

With only 10 people on board, you can avoid the 'river cruise cattle boat' mobs. We will decide what we want to do every day and stop whenever we see something interesting. You'll have plenty of time to wander alone or hang out with the other guests. No unpacking, taxis, hotel reservation drama, foreign languages, getting lost or worries about driving on the 'wrong' side of the road! Single folks and couples are welcome.

We are chartering two premium class 50' canal boats to explore the River Shannon in June 2026. Our boats have shared cabins, several heads, galley, salon, fly bridge and lots of deck space. You can rent a bike to explore the paths and villages along the way, catch some fish, golf, visit castles, pubs, and a zillion historic sites - or just sit back and relax.  No boating experience necessary but if you'd like to improve your boat handling skills, let us know!

Our boat has a nice galley where breakfasts and lunches will be served onboard (unless we see somewhere we MUST eat ashore) and some dinners will be onboard, with the option of eating ashore.  Several nights will be meals ashore, because who wants to miss out on local fare?  There is an outside seating area so we can enjoy the long days and see the sights along the river.  In case of rainy weather, there is plenty of room inside and lots of big windows!

We will board in Portumna and spend a bit of time traveling South to Lough Derg, then head back north and finish up in Carrick-On-Shannon.

A few of the towns we may visit are Enniskillen, Belturbet, Ballyconnell, Ballinamore, Drumshanbo, Tarmonbarry, Lanesborough, Athlone, Clonmacnoise, Banagher, Terryglass, Mountshannon and many others!

You can wander the towns, visit historical sites, enjoy a pint in a pub, fish, golf, shop, take a stroll along a country lane....  There are options to rent bikes for an additional fee as well.  If you like to ride bikes, there are bike paths everywhere and it’s fun to get off the boat and explore.  Please let me know if you are interested.

The deposit is due upon booking. The deposit is non- refundable. 

The balance of the trip is due on April 20 2026, this is non- refundable after April 20,2026.
