About Amy Sinclair:

On somewhat of a whim, before ever having stepped foot in a yoga studio, Amy enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training in January, 2013.  Soon after graduation in summer 2013, Amy began teaching yoga, and hasn't stopped since. In March 2014, Amy completed her 100-Hour Barre & Soul Teacher Training (also on a whim) with Barre & Soul founder, Andrea Isabelle Lucas. In November 2014, Amy quit her full time job as a food scientist to teach yoga and barre full time.  Since then, Amy has taught thousands of yoga and barre classes.  She now serves as a leader of Barre Teacher training at Barre & Soul, and a mentor for new barre and yoga teachers.  She enjoys planning yoga retreats, workshops, and events.  Amy has led retreats to Western Mass, St. Croix, Costa Rica, and more.

Amy's teaching style is light-hearted and playful, but also challenging.  Amy's yoga classes are intelligently sequenced with care.  Amy hopes to bring the joy and inspiration she found through a regular yoga and barre practice to as many people as possible.  Her students describe her as authentic, honest, funny, and compassionate.

In 2016, Amy began pursuing her life long dream of becoming a firefighter. After passing the ELPAT (entry level physical abilities test) and written exam for Massachusetts Firefighters, she is now on the eligibility list waiting to be hired (which could take years, or not happen at all!) She completed her EMT training in March 2017, and started working for Action Ambulance as a per diem EMT in September 2017.  In November of 2017, Amy started working as a Health & Wellness coach for Breast Cancer Patients at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, on the Breast Cancer Weight Loss Study (BWEL).  Amy's career has spanned the spectrum of wellness with her work as an EMT, Yoga teacher, and health coach.

About Stacey Apple:

Stacey began her yoga journey 15 years ago when her mother handed her a yoga mat on her 15th birthday.  She still has the mat and the inspiration from her mother that keeps yoga at the core of her life. Yoga has been a steady practice that she has used to stay strong and focused through her ever changing life. Yoga continues to be the backbone and support for her daily life. She hopes that through her teaching she can spread her strength and light to those around her. In 2016 Stacey completed the 200hr yoga teacher training at Empower Yoga under the guidance of Tricia Philpott. She continues to teach and work with the amazing community at Cape Ann Power Yoga in Gloucester.

Beyond spreading her love for yoga Stacey is the sous chef at Short and Main in Gloucester, MA.  She spends most of her time baking cakes, making pizzas, and picking delicious fruit.  Her passion for cooking and working with farmers to create beautiful and locally sourced food is what keeps her smiling. Her drive to live a sustainable life that is truly in tune to seasonality and nature makes her the yogi she is. Namaste!

Amy Sinclair Yoga was founded in 2014 when I started planning fun and unique yoga events, retreats, and experiences for my yoga students. As a full time yoga and barre teacher, I wanted a creative outlet for my teaching, and began to curate these events. I specialize in seasonally themed yoga events and retreats held at unique venues. I combine my love of the outdoors and living in tune with the environment into my yoga events. I’m a true new englander at heart, and love all 4 of our beautiful seasons. I love to bring the healing powers of nature into my events. Please see my event schedule for all my offerings.

I had such a great time on this yoga retreat. Not only did I get uninterrupted quality time with my BFF, but I met so many additional amazing and inspiring women. Thank you for a wonderful experience, Amy & Emily!

Amy really knows what she is doing when heading up a yoga retreat. Her yoga style is very gentle and relaxing. The venue was warm, welcoming, & peaceful. The group was wonderful - all different ages and backgrounds, but I immediately felt very comfortable right from the start. Amy's friend, Chef Stacey, added so much to the retreat with her culinary expertise. It was great to taste different dishes! I would highly recommend signing up for any future retreats headed up by Amy.

The yoga and experiences withAmy and Emily were incredible. Food was amazing and accommodations were lovely but not for the weather we had. The cold and rain was tough and I would suggest a rainy day activity since the nature walk was cancelled. Some people didn’t know what to do since the tents and cabins were so Cold. Overall I loved it but maybe a different location for the fall?

Wonderful experience. Emily and Amy were incredibly generous with their energy, and their meditation and yoga instruction. Loved the gorgeous barn and candle lit yoga and the food was delicious, healthy and lovingly prepared. Perfect repreive from daily life. Very grateful for the experience you provided

I wish I could end every single day with an experience like this one. Sunday nights can feel so stressful as the new week looms ahead of you- it all melted away at this Sunday night class. Amy radiates pure joy and peace as a yoga instructor, and I am so thankful she teaches in our community. I can't recommend her highly enough -- for any and all levels. And I can't recommend this space and event style enough - we practiced in front of a large roaring fireplace, with the most beautiful live acoustic music and vocals. Thank you so much, Amy.
