Gracias

We are reaching out to express our dissatisfaction and concern regarding the conditions of the rented cabin, which do not meet the minimum standards of safety and comfort that we consider essential, especially when it is promoted as an adventure concept. Upon arrival, we found a space that not only lacked basic conditions but also posed a risk to our health and safety. Cold air entered through the sides of the doors and walls, exposing us to low temperatures. Additionally, there were exposed nails in various areas, and the available water for the shower was cold, with no hot water option. These aspects were not communicated beforehand, and the experience fell far short of the expectations for an adventure cabin that meets minimum safety and livability standards. The difference between an adventure concept and an experience that compromises safety lies in ensuring at least adequate infrastructure and safe conditions. In this case, the structural deficiencies, lack of proper heating, and risk of injury from exposed nails made this stay feel less than even a low-cost hostel. We request a detailed explanation and compensation. The compensation offered was only one-fifth, despite us not consuming even 50% of the stay due to the cabin’s inadequate conditions, which not only failed to meet our expectations but also basic safety requirements. The key difference between renting a cabin with an adventure concept and one that compromises health and safety lies in the balance between experience and safety and comfort standards: 1. Adventure Concept: Here, the cabin may offer a rustic or unconventional experience designed to foster a connection with nature and the surroundings. It may have limited amenities but does not compromise basic safety or hygiene. It’s an intentional experience that, although simple, meets minimum health and safety standards. 2. Compromising Health and Safety: A cabin under this concept presents risks that go beyond a safe adventure. This could include poor maintenance conditions, openings in walls and roofs, exposure to extreme temperatures without adequate protection, or physical hazards (such as exposed nails or harmful insect infestations through roof and wall gaps). In this case, the lack of minimum safety and comfort measures transforms the experience into a risky situation, compromising the guest’s health and well-being. In summary, an adventure cabin is rustic but safe, while one that compromises health and safety fails to meet essential expectations as well as minimum safety requirements. Let me know if you’d like any further adjustments.
