Both the entrance to the Sacred Valley and one of the most interesting and well preserved Spanish colonial cities in America, this fascinating place is the result of its layers of history and culture. Everything in this city located 3,400m above sea level is unique; keep in mind this once was the capital of the Inca Empire and the city that saw the Spanish conquistador, Francisco Pizarro.
