Today we have an early start to make our way to Chinchero, where we will visit the textile centre and the Inca archaeological remains. Then we will go to the "Salineras de Maras" and visit the famous salt mines, our next stop being Moray. At the end of our tour, we will go to the community of Misminay, where we will be greeted with a warm welcome with music, dances and a delicious lunch.

2D / 1N Mullak’s Misminay Experience

Mullak’s Misminay or the “Place of Wetlands”, by its name in Quechua, was the place that welcomed large "colcas" (storage buildings found along the roads of the Inca Empire) and the Moray agricultural experimental centre. It is an ideal place to observe the stars, learn about the Andean worldview and enjoy agricultural and textile activities with its inhabitants.

In the afternoon we will have a short walk to visit the town and the beautiful mountain of Wañinmarca from where we will have beautiful views of Moray. At night we will have a delicious typical dinner by a fire where the community hosting you will share stories and myths. What an evening!

There is no better way to start your day than with a nutritious breakfast based on Andean products such as beans, kiwicha, cañihua, toasted corn, etc. Take your time and take in everything this place has to offer; natural beauty, cultural heritage and mysticism. Afterwards, we will have the opportunity to learn the traditional techniques used in the preparation of their materials, the extraction of wool and the use of natural colourants. We will end our experience in this community by taking part in a ceremony where we will thank Pachamama for everything delivered to us.

We will sadly say goodbye to the community and continue our trip to the sacred valley. We can assure you this is an experience you will never forget.

After reaching our new home we will enjoy a delicious lunch prepared with local products and get ready for what tomorrow holds for us!

During the morning we will visit the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo. This 3,500-year-old site is located 2,792 meters above sea level is one of the most impressive architectural complexes that you will see and feel, as its magic and mystery are almost palpable. 

Its fortress was built with huge rocks brought from a quarry 6 kilometres away, near the Urubamba River. One of the most surprising details in Ollantaytambo is how perfectly polished and shaped its rocks are. This means that its builders were able to lift the stones and transport them without damaging them. This becomes even more impressive once you witness how steep is the terrain there. Without a doubt, Ollantaytambo is one of the great wonders of Inca architecture that still raises questions, many of them still without answers.

 Sacred ritual or "Willaq Uma" in the community of Huilloc

In the afternoon, we will take part in an ancestral sacred ritual, which in Inca times was performed by the willaq uma, the high priest. We will approach the Andean world and seek harmony between our spirit, nature and the energy of the Andean deities, having the opportunity to express our wishes and desires so that they become one with the harmony of the cosmos.

Another early start awaits! Today we will go to the Ollantaytambo train station to take the train that will take us to Machupicchu Pueblo. (1hr and 45min)

Upon our arrival, we will board the bus that will take us to the entrance door to the Historic Sanctuary of Machupicchu (30min trip). The sanctuary represents a work of art, architecture and engineering in perfect harmony with nature and is the most important legacy of the Inca civilization to humanity. Very little needs to be said about Machupicchu; you just need to come to see it and experience it yourself.

At the end of the tour, we will have lunch in a typical restaurant in Machupicchu town.

Return by train to Cusco.

This morning we will be visiting the archaeological park of Pisaq, one of the most beautiful monumental centres in the valley as it combines the landscape with the impeccable finish of its buildings. The Archaeological Park of Pisac is extensive and consists of different buildings grouped at different levels where the wall, aqueduct, pipes, portals, tombs, ceremonial centre, and numerous platforms stand out.

After this visit, we will be able to visit the traditional market of Pisaq, full of stalls that offer all kinds of unique products made by local artisans, as well as nearby communities. "Chullos" and coats with alpaca wool, jewellery and silver ornaments, flutes, backpacks and other accessories; all are handcrafted and decorated in bright colours.

In the afternoon we will visit "El Parque de la Papa", a biocultural territory dedicated to the conservation of biological and cultural diversity in the mountains where we can immerse ourselves and learn the ancient agricultural techniques that the Incas developed to conserve and preserve their greatest food heritage: the potato. In addition, we can be surprised by more than a thousand varieties of native potatoes and taste their flavours through a diverse gastronomic offer prepared by the community itself.

Our last day will be dedicated to visiting the ancient capital of the Incas, Cusco; full of museums, temples and colonial churches. In addition, we will visit the most representative archaeological sites of the city:
