About this trip

Cuyabeno River Lodge Has sponsored tourism and scientific research in  the Ecuadorian Amazon Basin since the creation of the lodge and the  establishment of the reserve in 1979. We are the direct operators of  Cuyabeno River Lodge and protect the most fragile zone of the Cuyabeno  National Reserve. Over 500 species of birds, 450 species of fish, 12,000  plant species, and hundreds of mammals, reptiles, and amphibians can be  found in this diverse ecosystem. Our mission is to promote ecotourism  in an environmentally and culturally safe manner in order to present  Cuyabeno’s beauty to its visitors. We offer standard four or five-day  tours to our native-style cabins as well as longer adventure tours  through the mysterious waters of Cuyabeno and into Peru. Join us as we  venture into this unique and fascinating habitat!

We are a family-run direct tour operator and ecotourism travel agency dedicated to attending your travel needs in Ecuador and South America. In addition, we are the owners of Cuyabeno River Lodge, a leading eco-lodge in the Amazon basin. Named for its location on the equator line, Ecuador is one of the world’s most diverse countries. Our unique country is home to tropical Amazon Rainforest, snow-capped Andean peaks, thirty-three ecological reserves, deep-blue volcanic crater lakes, expansive white-sand beaches.

Ended up having to switch to Cayambe. Henry was super helpful with all of our questions, getting us from place to place and last minute changes. Herman was our trek leader and was great! You can tell he’s been leading for years , knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. Some of the info up front was vague and not as descriptive as we’d like when you are planing for a such an adventure, so be sure to ask questions if you have them and they will quickly answer!
