Itinerary

Floating Village Tour
Pick up from your hotel at 9:00 a.m.

You will be transferred to the Siem Reaper office, where you will meet your guide. Here, you will be given a safety briefing, tour itinerary, and be fitted with a mountain bike and helmet.

The tour will begin by cycling down interesting dirt roads through Siem Reap’s countryside. Along the way, your guide will take you to local farms and various village activities where you will learn about the everyday lives of the Cambodian villagers.

You will get to taste all sorts of local flavors for lunch and enjoy fresh coconuts and hammocks; this is what the village is all about.

Once we reach Kampong Phluk, we will walk around the area to explore the housing. The houses are built on stilts, adapted to withstand flooding, experienced during the rainy season. You will learn about daily life and the area from your guide. After exploring the village, we will take a boat and further discover the village life from the water, such as the schools, market, pagoda, etc. At the end of the day, we will watch the sunset on the lake with some snacks and cold beverages. You will return back to the city by private vehicle in the late evening.

An absolutely fantastic tour and a must do when in Siem Reap! Special mention to our wonderful tour guide Muniz whose extensive knowledge of both the temples and Cambodian culture wowed my husband and I. Also to our driver (can’t remember his name!) who met us at various locations along the trail and supplied us with cold water, towels and fresh fruit. We were also slightly sceptical about the included breakfast (so much so our hotel packed us a takeaway box) but it was 5*.

we had a fantastic trip, and I would highly recommend it. A great pace of a cycling an amazing leader. We went to so many different places all over town and saw so many things that were wonderful and local and we were well taken care of. The bikes were fantastic and the stops were enough but not too much. Great trip
