After a classic European breakfast, we pack up and venture to Karlstejn. Once there, we take a horse drawn carriage up through the historic city to the castle that once held the crown jewels of the Holy Roman Empire. After visiting the castle, we stroll back down hill through the cobble stone streets stopping here and there at local shops upon the way.

Then it's off to Pilsner, the birth-place of pilsner & pale lager beers!

Since we know the most important part of quality beer is quality water, our adventure starts with an underground tour of the city to explore its rich brew history through an underground tunnel system that has been used to provide access to private wells for those who were bestowed brewing rights (YES! They do take brewing THAT seriously!!!), protect inhabitants in times of war such as The Seige of Pilsen (the 1st major battle of the "30 Year's War"), store provisions, and so much more. Once finished, we visit and tour the classic brewery, Pilsner Urquell, where we'll take a tour of the production process, visit the 9km tunnel system that was originally used in the brew process when 1st established in 1842, and have a tasting of an unfiltered and unpasteurised Pilsner Urquel direct from the barrel to your glass (the only place in the world where you can taste this AMAZING beer)!

We wake in the morning, eat breakfast, and head out to Ceske Budejovice, the birth-place of Budvar.
If you're thinking that name sounds familiar, it is because Anheuser-Busch Inbev and Budweiser Budvar have been in legal disputes over the trademark and origin rights since 1907 for a brew that has been brewed since the 13th century. After taking the tour you can decide for yourself which you believe should be distributed by taste alone.

After a tour of this world-renowned brewery, we leave to visit one of the most beautiful castles that you've probably never heard of.... Hluboka!
Hluboka is the epitome of fairy tale castles being a National Cultural Monument, having been rebuilt in the romantic style of England's Windsor Castle and being the private residence of the Schwarzenberg family until it was seized from them in 1948.

Today is the day that we will be able to explore the last major brewery that is still owned and operated by Czechs, Bernard Family Brewery.
We believe that this brewery brews the very best beer in the entire world and are very excited to be able to share it with you!

After breakfast, we'll head out to Humpolec to visit Bernard's newly erected visitor center and take the tour of the brewery where you'll be able to touch and smell the brewing process.  You'll be guided through exhibits and will learn of the history of the brewery.  We will also eat lunch here.

Once we leave the brewery, we'll be heading out to provide a surprise experience variant upon season and weather.  In any case, you'll be seeing one of the places that, for the most part, only Czechs know about and visit when on vacation.  The views will be stunning and you will have the opportunity to experience a bucket list item that most folks outside of Czech didn't even know existed.

We'll be hanging our hats in Brno for the evening.
Brno is the 2nd largest city in Czech Republic and one of the 100 largest cities in the EU.  There is much to do and see in Brno and we recommend going out to explore once we arrive.

This day is what we believe to be one of the great highlights of the tour, beginning with a visit to a classically preserved Czech Village in the as Valasske Region for varying cultural experiences dependent upon season.
From there, it is off to the races and we're headed to the stunning Beskydy Mountain Range!
Weather permitting, we'll take a ski lift up the scenic mountain side to the classically rebuilt village of Pustevny.
Guests will be able to choose whether to explore the village and taste frothy goodness or to ascend to a viewing area where the truly brave can walk out onto a see-through platform that is sure to get your adrenaline flowing.
Those of us who feel fit will then hike the mountain ridges to Radhost, a mountain named after Radegast, the Slavik god of hospitality!
At the top of his mountain, we will drink a very popular brew that has been named after him, enjoy the wonder vistas, and a great photo opportunity is to be had next to a statue that was made of him.
For those of us who feel that the day is best served in a mug, we'll break off and explore additional buildings and beers in Pustevny.
After our excursion, we will relax by visiting a local beer spa, soaking in suds while sipping, receiving hot stone massages, and finishing off with fantastic traditional Czech cuisine.

The morning will start off with a visit to the peaceful yet breathtaking village of Stramberk where we will climb the tower and experience the wonderful views of the Moravian countryside that it offers.  Once decended, a visit to the local brewery is in order (of course!!!) and then we're off to Olomouc to see the Holy Trinity Column, which was designated as a Unesco World Heritage Site in the year 2000.  From there, we're off to Kutna Hora for dinner with a view of BEAUTIFUL St. Barbara's Cathederal followed by a short jaunt to our central hotel in Prague where we will settle in for a night cap and bid our farewells for those who may be returning home the following day.
