Sitting on 4 acres, including an acre of pristine rainforest, it's just a 5 minute walk to the Playa Grande beach on the Pacific Coast.
We will greet the day with morning well- rounded yoga for body, breath, and mind, creating strength, stamina and inner balance. Return in the late afternoon to the the peace of the yoga shala, delicious private chef inspired, locally sourced, fresh meals, and evening gentle yoga to unwind, stretch, relax, ground, and soothe.
We want you to get away from the stresses of your busy life and choose to have each day be as full of adventure or as care-free and relaxing as you choose . Swim, lay on the sand, explore, take in the sun on the Playa Grande beach. If you would like some adventure, there are many activities to choose from including use of stand-up paddle boards, massages and hikes. Relax with a favorite book in the shade on a hammock as your eyes get heavier and you slip into a peaceful nap. Several afternoons we will host classes to deepen your understanding of how practices such as yoga, HeartMath, breathwork and relaxation/meditation scientifically work as physiological and emotional interventions.
The venue is family-run, nestled in the jungle, simple and clean, calming and lovely. Offering an outdoor restaurant, walking meditation labyrinth, a nature trail and hardwood floor yoga studio, Istmo Yoga and Adventure Retreat is located in Playa Grande, San Carlos in the Panama Region.
All cabin bungalows are air-conditioned with pillow top mattresses and luxury sheets, have a private bath with hot water, refrigerators, and a balcony with hammocks and panoramic views of the property. There is free WiFi access in central areas of the property.
The main focus of this retreat is to practice mindful movement, mindful breathing, focus and relaxation techniques, enjoy a peaceful or active adventure, breathe in the beautiful surroundings while taking some time to improve and instill well being. If you enjoy vacations with heavy drinking and partying, this retreat will not fit your expectations.
