Our Vaova trip was very poorly organized. Lots of problems in tours and activities. 

To name a few:
- they miscalculated the number of tables in the White Party dinner, weren’t able to solve the problem, so we did not get seated at any point

- buses left 45minutes later than planned from a party and they left us waiting in the rain

Overall, our trip was great, but we did not see any benefit at all of having it run by this agency.

This trip was incredible and will be a highlight of my MBA experience. Mobilizing 400 people around a country is incredibly difficult, but Vaova managed to make it feel seamless. Every Vaova event was well executed and the attention paid to ensure every detail was taken care of did not go unnoticed. The Vaova staff was attentive, friendly and always available to answer our questions. The trip was unforgettable, the experiences and happenings showcased all the beauty and magic that Colombia has to offer, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it. Thank you Vaova!!!

The packages are highly priced and underwhelming. Furthermore, the hotels booked by Vaova are third-class. Lastly, most of the experiences curated by Vaova are not reflective how amazing Colombia is, and are so touristy in design. Please never go with Vaova. 

Fun trip, hotel staff stole my airpods and laughed in my face about it, but fun trip.

We had a wonderful trip in Colombia. It was well organized and fun.

It was fantastic! Everything from the live performances, the food, the activities, the tour guides and all of the transportation provided, VAOVA did an unbelievable job. 

The trip is well planned, especially all the three parties. The timing of the optional activities could be improved a bit. For example, the bus for the salsa workshop was late and we had to miss the practice session. But I love VAOVA's planning. The local fair is the highlight of the trip. Highly recommend! 

In addition, many music of the party is salsa and latino songs. To make it more inclusive, I recommend to have more variety of the music. 

No organization, no accountability, no customer service.

It was definitely an amazing experience. The agency did a good job organizing all the events with local performances and awesome tour guys. I would definitely go again if it offers other treks. 

I had a great time during the trip. I was surprised by how smoothly the trip went despite being such a large group (and that Vaova had several groups at the same time in Colombia). One time one of my friends required assistance from Vaova and it was greatly appreciated to have your support throughout the whole process. All of the Vaova staff was very approachable.

However, I do have some feedback on things that Vaova could improve for next trips. First, punctuality, I know it is hard to move around 20+ buses but in some events we left the hotel 45min after the announced time to be in the lobby, so most people lost credibility and started arriving even later. Second, organization of some events, while most of them were great, in a couple of events such as the White Party, I saw how many people did not have a place to seat and were greatly disgusted that there was a "reserved" table for the organizers of the trip. Third, during the reservation process I did not get the email from you until 15 min. later, I ended up booking the hotels and flights that were left, and while they were ok, I felt there was a huge difference with the best hotels (I would suggest balancing that out with packaged hotels and sending emails at the same time). Fourth, a minor thing but in many events the lines to get a drink were very long and the bartenders served the drinks very differently (sometimes with a lot of alcohol, others without ice or soda, etc.). 

We had an amazing time, I think VAOVA really was above my expectations, and everything worked really well. it was a super fun trip, I met a lot of people, and places, and every experience was fulfilling. Thanks, VAOVA!

Overpriced trip. Perceived quality for price paid leaves a huge gap, here are a couple of reasons:
1. Poorly prepared parties - White party: the event lacked the capacity (tables, bars, alcohol) for the number of guests; Huatape: Vaova’s was unprepared for the expected rainy day - how couldn’t Vaova pay for a tent when all of the forecasts expected rain
2. Hotels - except for the Grand Hyatt, the rest of the hotels (Estellar and Intercontinental) weren’t of the expected quality - Estellar was an stellar motel, and Intercontinenal wasn;t ready for our arrival 
3. “Included” activities - Vaovas’ team lack of flexibility created didn’t allow for the right allocation of demand and supply, leaving people with unwanted activities (based on low participation %)
4. Courtesy - Vaova clearly prioritized the Colombian “planners” above the true payers for the trips … e.g., Reserved table for white party when non-Colombian guests were left without a place, reserved rooms at Intercontinental - while the rest of the guests where left waiting for a room. This nudges to corruptions - well treating the decision makers, while poorly treating the payers

We had a great time. It was totally value for money with properly planned experiences.

Colombia Trip 2019

Amazing experience. Meeting new friends was that much easier thanks to an action-packed trip. I hope to get back to Colombia soon!

Truly an unforgettable trip. The VAOVA team organized a thoughtful collection of social, cultural, historical, and culinary experiences that showcased the beauty of Colombia. I was even more impressed by the team’s attention to detail with every element of the trip. Can’t wait to come back.

Overall, I was pleased with the activities planned for the trip. There was a good range of options for everybody.

My two main areas of criticism:
1. I thought the 4-hour boat party in Guatape was too long. After 2 hours, I found myself counting down the minutes until I could board the bus to go back to the hotel. 

2. I really was not a fan of the "5-star" Estelar hotel in Medellin.  My toilet broke multiple times and one of the pillows had a red mark on it.

Fantastically organized. I had a really great time. Thanks to all the staff who went above and beyond to make this a very memorable trip for everyone.

I LOVE Colombia! Vaova did an amazing job organizing everything and curating a great experience. Even when obstacles or unseen circumstances came up, Vaova was very agile to make smooth adjustments that still created extremely memorable experiences.

I would highly recommend a trip to Colombia and would more highly recommend a trip served by Vaova!

Increible organizacion. De verdad super sorprendida con la agencia, con la gente que tuvimos con nosotros en el viaje y con el itinerario en general. Mi unico comentario es que no me encanto que nos separaran en Medellin y en el velero del final. Creo que sobretodo el velero del final era un momento que hubiera estado demasiado bonito estar todos juntos. (Sobretodo por que eramos un grupo chiquito)

Really enjoyed our trip to Colombia. We enjoyed the mix of planned activities and personal time to enjoy Colombia. The Vaova team was incredible and really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home.

Vavoa did a phenomenal job organizing the trip, I would highly recommend working with them!

Vaova staff was absolutely amazing. They were incredibly helpful, and they formed part of the group as if they were our lifelong friends. I would definitely travel again with Vaova in the future!

We had a great time! they were very professional and well organized especially working with a group of 250 rowdy students. Thank you for the wonderful experience!  

Honestly, going into the experience we had very low expectations - how could a group of 300 people be organized or fun, at all? All the communication leading up to the trip was amazing - so it was more of a concern around the amount of people. Well we were blown away. We had SO MUCH FUN! and it was so organized and well maintained. I was truly impressed! To manage that many, (sometimes very rude) people, takes a very strong willed team - and they showed up for us! 

Only feedback would be to cap the trip at a smaller amount of humans (maybe 150?) and spend more time in Cartagena. But we got bang for our buck indeed! I would also encourage the hotels to be more accommodating with check in - the hotel in Cartagena was a little of a shit show, but that's not your fault. 

Thank you also to the doctors on the trip, i injured my knee on the steps of Guatape and they were very helpful and responsive.

Loved the people who led the trek & was really appreciative that every bus (and water bottles) were always there early! We never had to wait. It was a great mix of activities and I liked the flexibility to choose our own schedule on many of the days.
My only request would be to add healthier snacks to the bus -- it was often a long time between meals and I needed a snack, but I could only eat so many chips...

Berkeley Trek to Colombia 2018

Very well organized and coordinated.  The Vaova team handled the very few hiccups we had with ease.  I would definitely recommend working with them to anybody traveling to Colombia with a large group

This was truly a once in a lifetime trip.  The Vaova team were responsive, accommodating, and on top of all the logistics throughout the trip.  My highlights included boating around the islands near Cartagena as  well as dancing the night away in Bogota at Andres Carnes.  We were in good hands for the entirety of the trip.  Thank you!

Great trip! I think that some activities were very overpriced for the value that we got out of it (brunch at HS and dinner at Marea).
The staff was great but at some moments maybe not fully serious and some instructions were required with more time of anticipation (wearing a raincoat to the Medellin city tour/ check out times, etc)

This tour starts at the Paloquemao marketplace, where a big part of Bogota’s food trade takes place. We will then visit the historic neighborhood of La Candelaria, the beating heart of our beautiful city. We will see famous graffiti artwork and sample special Colombian food along the way. We will have lunch at Madre, where the experience will go beyond the food in a unique and mesmerizing hidden space through an emerald passage in the center of the city. With an alternative and rustic setting and exquisite cuisine, you'll be in for a unique lunch experience. 
After lunch we'll visit the Gold Museum, one of the most renowned Colombian museums, which shelters inside one of the most important archeological heritage collections and the Botero museum, where this renowned artist donated big part of his art collection.&nbsp;
