NOTE: DEVIL’S POOL AND ANGEL’S POOL ARE ONLY AVAILABLE WHEN THE ZAMBEZI IS LOW.
Safety is our first priority and therefore Tongabezi reserves the right to refuse swimming activities without prior notice to weak swimmers or if the water levels seem too high. Children must be 12 and above to swim. Unless you are visiting between mid-August and late December, be sure to check the river levels with our team in advance so as to avoid disappointment.
The Boat Ride to the Edge
Tongabezi offers five trips a day to Livingstone Island, following in the bold footsteps of Dr. David Livingstone who first famously reached the island via canoe. Today, we prefer to trust in the power of our twin-engine boats to get you across the fast currents and to the very edge of the waterfall. This is a thrilling journey, but trust that our guides have been maneuvering through these channels for years and know exactly what they are doing.
