About this trip

Your day will start with a stop first to the Shady Maple Smorgasbord for a lunch feast. After we take a ride through Amish farmlands and enjoy the scenery and make two stops along the way. First stop will be a local Amish bakery and the last stop is a local Amish shopping village. Around the village you will experience unique shops and restaurants. Also located is Waltz Vineyards indulge yourself in a wine tasting and can purchase bottle to take home and enjoy later on.

Lunch was good! Seats at radio City were good! Show was spectacular! Was nice to have some time after to go see the tree, etc. Enjoyed the trip!

We had a nice time however the bus was a little tight and the German Christmas Fair was extremely crowded and not enjoyable at all then on to the dinner theater food was OK however the show was terrific. We arrived at the hotel about 10:30pm (after some confusion with rooms) exhausted but the hotel was beautiful, we were told that the food card credit of $40 could only be used in the breakfast cafe it felt like a rest stop and food was below average, the next day we were informed we could have used it anywhere in the hotel info that should have been given us upon arrival. We went to the Snoopy Ice Show at 11am it was cute but then there wasn’t anything planned until dinner at 5:30pm went to Bartucci’s (which I like) but we were rushed barely had time to chew our food in and out within an hour having a 3 course meal and NO decaf coffee, then back to the hotel were the hotel had a light show. Everything was crammed into Sunday and nothing scheduled for Monday afternoon not even suggestions on things to do near by (our guide seemed unfamiliar with this venue) Old Alexandria was nice and quaint but would be more enjoyable in warmer weather and then back on the bus ( our bus driver was great).Overall I rate it a 3 and probably will not use Gary’s Fun Bus again.

This was a great trip. Even with the rainy weather, it was a fun day out. We enjoyed the train exhibit, the food and of course the company. Robert was great with us all. He accommodated everyone and was very engaged with the passengers. The bus was comfortable and clean and the bus driver was a pro. Looking forward to the next trip with Garys Tours!

I’ve been with Gary‘s tours for a long time, the buses are clean. The ride is comfortable. The people are wonderful the Nashville resorts Tropicana all trips were wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great getaway thank you Gary and your team.
