If you can find time out of your busy schedules to do a three week training overseas with Joan I highly recommend it! Joan is such an amazing mentor and yoga teacher having taught for over two decades and have so much experience from her teachers, working at yoga works and wunderlust. If you just started your yoga journey or are looking to deepen your practice or want to find the confidence and tools to teach, Joan's training is the way to go. From the trip planning, accomodations, meals, day trips, daily practices, and theories you will leave her training more grounded than before and have a strong foundation to take you back home and utilize these tools to practice in your daily life and share with others around you. She has a knack for keeping with the traditions of yoga, its roots, and being able to adapt to the modern world and ways. Can't praise her enough. Thank you Joan!
Thank you Jenn! I loved having your energy on this trip! xo

Joan is absolutely an amazing teacher with a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of yoga. I would without hesitation recommend her as a teacher. With regards to our stay in India, unfortunately I had a series of issues with my room that diminished my pleasure in participating in this incredible training, but even with that, I can appreciate the overall wonderful learning experience. Thank you Joan!
Hi Cynthia! Thanks for the compliment a with my teaching and the trainings! Once again sorry about the room, and do take in consideration that Devarya and I did everything we could to accommodate you which included offering three different rooms to relocate in.. Sometimes these things are just out of our control and we all did the best we could. ? Happy to hear you still got something out of the training. ☺️

Amazing trip! Joan is a great teacher, sharing her huge understanding and knowledge of yoga, anatomy and philosophy; she was always ready to listen, help and repeat so I felt secure asking questions and even teaching although English is not my mother tongue! The location was great - loved the food and the people at Devarya!
Thanks Sylvie! ??

Better than anything I could have imagined. Amazing group of people, skillful teaching by Joan who brought so much positive energy to the group, the best vegeterian and vegan food I have ever had, and gentle meditations to close the day. I will be looking out for any future retreats!
This trip was certainly the experience of a lifetime. We visited a holy structure nearly every single day, hiked, did yoga, and ate well. We had two wonderful facilitators that kept us safe and the trip comfortable (physically and emotionally). The scenery is beautiful in Nepal, and the yoga class every morning really grounds you in the timezone and keeps your metabolism active.
