Mikumi is a gem and perfect for a day safari. It is easily accessible from Morogoro. Mikumi has a range of landscapes savannah, waterholes and hills. Mikumi is home to elephant, giraffe, hippo, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, lion, leopard and a huge variety of birds.

Your safari begins with a 6:00am pick-up in Morogoro by our professional driver-guide. You will travel to Mikumi National Park, arriving at approximately 7:30am, just as the park comes alive with early morning wildlife activity.

Enjoy a full game drive through Mikumi’s open plains, where you may encounter elephant, giraffe, zebra, lion, buffalo, antelope species, hippos, abundant birdlife, and—if you are fortunate—the elusive leopard. Your guide will ensure you have excellent wildlife viewing opportunities while sharing insights about the park’s ecosystem.

Lunch will be served at a hotel located inside the park at a time that suits your preference. After a relaxing break, continue your afternoon game drive, exploring different areas of the park and maximizing your wildlife sightings.
