Mikumi, often the gateway to the southern circuit, may be smaller by Tanzania’s (huge) standards but boasts diverse habitats: grassy plains, miombo woodlands, and swamps, surrounded by three mountain ranges. Join us as we venture into Tanzania's wilderness and discover that the country offers more than just the beautiful beaches where you have been relaxing. Mikumi National Park provides a fantastic opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, elephants, leopards, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, antelopes, monkeys, and warthogs, as well as a diverse range of bird species. You won't regret this adventure!

Your will be collected from your hotel, times vary according to your location, so you arrive at 6am Zanzibar Airport for your 7am departure for Mikumi. You will arrive at 8am and be met by our guide at the airstrip. And so your safari begins!

You will explore Mikumi National Park and see many animals in their natural home, zebra, giraffe, elephant, lion, warthog, antelope, birds, hippo and of you are very fortunate leopard! Pausing for lunch and then heading back to soak in the sights and sounds of nature at her best.

4pm your plane departs Mikumi for Zanzibar and you will be met at the airport and taken back to your hotel.
