About this trip

Lobos Island is a small flat islet, named this way for being home to many sea lions, which play on the beaches and rest on the rocks and their brown fur stands out on the white sand. In addition, it is the ideal place to observe nesting frigate birds and blue footed boobies. It has a protected channel where you can do snorkeling with sea lions and sea turtles.

You will go in a small boat for about 25 minutes to Lobos Island. From the boat you can watch its wildlife before disembarking on the island. During the guided tour on land you can see frigate birds, blue footed boobies and sea lions that live there. Afterwards you will have time to snorkel, you can swim with the playful sea lions and observe rays and turtles. After this visit you will continue to Playa Ochoa (or similar). This white coral beach offers the opportunity to walk around and relax or bathe in the shallow waters before returning to Baquerizo Moreno Port. You will have a lunch onboard. The itinerary might be inversed due to National Park regulations.

NOTE: The area on Isla Lobos is volcanic rock and unequal. Although not extremely difficult, stability and good shoes are a must. The walk takes around 1 hour.

It was a very good and nice tour. The falls are so impressive and you get very close. Gustavo was a very friendly, relaxed guide who gave us a lot of attention and information. The boattrip was amazing, beautiful and spectaculair! We certainly wouldn't want to have missed this. The jungle tour with the 4 wheel drive however was not what we expected. It was not more then a bus drive in an open bus to get to the boat. We did not get a chance to see the surroundings or any anima at all (we Nederland made a stop).
