We connect travelers looking to go beyond safaris to local influencers and insiders (known as "curators") who know the best things to do and are passionate about sharing their city with others.

We had Ana amazing time , met new life long friends and had experiences that we would have otherwise never done! I would highly recommend a trip with tastemakers as well as start planning my second trip
I believe I used the word amazing 100 times on this trip. It was truly a a remarkable and unforgettable experience. My favorite was being immersed in the culture from visiting the markets to shop for fabric, to visiting the tailor in the community, to cooking and enjoying a traditional Senegalese meal...AWESOME!!!!
I give Tastemakers Africa a definite thumbs up for curating an amazing week of events. There is some room for improvement regarding logistics and communication, but if you book experiences with them, you will dine like a queen at Chef Selassie's table and learn the art of making jollof under the palm fruit tree in Ahmed's Mama's backyard. Miss Bernice has my heart! I am returning as soon as humanly possible.

We were all super happy with the trip. The staff onsite were phenomenal. The quality of the people, places, knowledge and experience were amazing. Extremely accommodating and there was great value for the cost. Will never forget this trip!
The TSTMKRS South Africa 2018 trip was absolutely AMAZING. Ten days in both Johannesburg and Cape Town learning about the People, CUlture, and Experience of South Africa from a Black perspective with an ALL BLACK tour group and guides was an experience worth every penny. I will be returning in 2019 and I will be bringing friends with me. If you see a TSTMKRS or TasteMakersAfrica BOOK it ASAP. We all in the group met as strangers on Day 1 but left as Family on the last day. Almost a month after the trip we are still all keeping in touch with each other. The Mandela House, Apartheid Museum, Local Food, Local Shopping, The Marketplaces, Boulder Beach, Simons Town, Robben Island, The Cape Town Winery Tours all FANTASTIC.
