This December, Deen Journeys is taking you on a soul-nourishing retreat to San Juan, Puerto Rico — where reflection, relaxation, and adventure meet.

This retreat is designed exclusively for Muslim women, offering a safe and uplifting space to pause, breathe, and realign. Together, we’ll explore Puerto Rico’s breathtaking natural beauty, immerse ourselves in sisterhood, and create memories that will last long after we return home.

Please note: Our retreats are designed to be shared, community-centered experiences and require a minimum number of participants to run. If we’re unable to meet that minimum by December 5, 2026, we may need to cancel the retreat. Should that happen, all payments made to Deen Journeys will be fully refunded, inshaAllah.

Your journey begins as we warmly welcome you to San Juan. We’ll pick you up from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) between 12–2 PM ET (flight must land no later than 1:30PM ET) and bring you to our private retreat home. After settling in, we’ll gather for a delicious welcome dinner and walk through the itinerary together.

The evening will close with chai, snacks, games, and an intention-setting circle — the perfect way to connect with your new sisters and set the tone for a transformative retreat.

We’ll begin with breakfast & Islamic Jeopardy before heading into our Jummah prayer and reflection circle at Al-Faruq Mosque, a space to pause, connect spiritually, and share reflections together.

In the afternoon, we’ll venture to Reserva Natural Cueva del Indio, one of Puerto Rico’s most breathtaking coastal sites. Marvel at the caves, ocean views, and dramatic cliffs — an unforgettable reminder of Allah’s creation.

We'll end the night with games and chai.

On this day, we step into the heart of Puerto Rico’s history and culture. Wander through the colorful cobblestone streets of Old San Juan, with a local Muslim woman guide who will highlight the Islamic influence in the city. We'll make a quick stop at Barrachina's (the birthplace of the Pińa Colada) and then have lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a coffee tasting opportunity and free time to explore the city.

Later, we'll head over to Paseo del Morro and watch the sunset together.

We'll have a late start with brunch followed by a dua workshop. You'll have the morning to sleep in or take a dip in the pool.

In the afternoon, we'll have free time at Isla Verde Beach and then head back to the house to freshen up before heading to a local Turkish restaurant for our farewell dinner and final reflections.

We’ll share one last breakfast together before goodbyes. Airport drop-off will be provided to SJU (group drop off time will be based on flight times). You’ll leave not just with memories, but with new sisters and a renewed sense of self. We can't wait to welcome you ❤️
