About this trip

From the dynamic duo who brought you Deep House Yoga Up and down the West Coast, we present our very first Deep House Yoga Retreat!

Come join Jill and Julie for 7 Days and 6 Nights of Yoga, DJing and best of all Community

We will enjoy the sunsets of San Francisco, Nayarit, Mexico.

Same name as SF, but way chiller vibe.

"Yoga in Mexico with Julie was amazing! I was nervous about two things, traveling alone and not knowing anyone. Traveling alone turned out to be enlightening and freeing! I will definitely be doing it again. And everyone I met, apart of our group or not was beyond nice. Julie especially. Upon meeting her she gave me a big hug and made me feel comfortable amongst unfamiliarity. I enjoyed my time immensely and look forward to the possibilities of more retreats!"

-Kaitlin, Holistic Coach

"It's so hard to narrow down to a sentence or two, but the Tulum retreat was absolutely magical ❤ The week was filled with a wonderful variety of yoga styles which helped me strengthen areas of my current practice, and expanded my knowledge in areas I wasn't in tune with yet. The location of the retreat was breathtaking, and I left with an immense feeling of gratitude. Thank you, Julie!!"

"Julie's yoga retreat in Tulum was the perfect escape. As a non-experienced yogi, I enjoyed the classes at my own pace, while soaking in the beauty and serenity of Tulum.

-Sarah, Nurse Practitioner, MSN, WHNP

"Julie's Tulum retreat was EXACTLY what I needed to refresh recharge and realign my mind body and soul. Go rogue with her and fellow of the best trips of my life!

I mean that and more. The Tulum trip with you and the girls was so amazing 💚👾💋"

-Dr. Austin, Chiropractor

"The yoga retreat with Julie in Tulum truly was a trip to paradise. I reconnected with myself through yoga, met an inspiring group of fellow yogis and enjoyed the beautiful views to the fullest. Most importantly, I returned deeply relaxed and full of new energy!"

"Julie's retreat experience in Granada was absolutely a highlight of my year. It was my first yoga retreat, first time in Spain and first time exploring different types of yoga outside of Bikram. I enjoyed how well rounded the week was. We had an immersive cultural, food and history experience; a grounding morning and evening practice, and necessary downtime! Julie is such a gentle and supportive instructor, I believe whatever level of practice you're at, you will enjoy embarking on one of her retreats."

Julie is the founder of Rogue Yogi®, an alternative yoga and lifestyle platform for all body types, shapes, personalities and dietary preferences (Yes, omnivores unite!). She is also a writer for Shut Up & Yoga, an Independent Online Yoga Magazine. As a nomad, she examines the various modalities on functional movement and shaping the self. She also interviews and films short documentaries on progressive yoga teachers around the world. After a rough childhood, becoming the guardian of her brothers at age 21 and moving past various traumas, she connected with yoga on a profound level. Leaving out the dogma, she believes that yoga is a powerful tool that dares you be stronger in the mind, body and spirit. Amazing time with Julie and our group in Bali!! Dare to be free retreat was informative, interactive, cultural, created and prompted social awareness and acceptance. Loved the resort, food, company, and easy atmosphere that Julie created for all of us. Would highly recommend!!! xoxox
Where do I start? Walk in, float out is the perfect description for the entire retreat. Julie is a gem, not only in her yoga practice, but as a human being -- very caring, very dedicated. You're better for knowing her. I think that what I loved most about the yoga portion of the retreat is that if you're fairly new to yoga, or just out of practice, she supports you 100% by tailoring all poses to you. Safety and comfort are a priority -- no injuries! :) But that is just scratching the surface of this retreat as a whole. She picked the perfect venue, with the perfect itinerary, the perfect food, the perfect vibe, and the perfect rewards. My two favorite moments were when we collectively gave back to the Balinese community through volunteering at an orphanage (those precious children!), and the Sunset Dance night. You hear people say to "dance like nobody's is watching", but to actually take those words literally and do just that -- so liberating! As for the actual resort, I already used the word, "perfect", and it was! My only complaint about my experience is that the time flew by -- a week is just not enough time to soak it all in. Suksma, Julie and Bali and The Floating Leaf Resort. I'm looking forward to more of Julie's retreats!
My trip to Santorini island with Julie, the Rogue Yogi, was nothing short of magical. The accommodation was really nice, we got to stay at these authentic Greek style "cave apartments". The weather in early October was still nice, not too hot, great for hikes and daily trips exploring the island. The scenery was breathtaking. I have never seen ocean this blue. I loved that Julie and her husband were with us the whole time. It was nice to have someone there who already knew the area and could point us to great restaurants, show us how to get to the beach, and recommend the best local convenience store. If you are a foodie you will not want to leave this place. The Greek Cuisine is absolutely to die for! What I appreciated the most was the daily program - there was not a day without something exciting happening! From a tour to Oia, to a bus trip to local ruins and archeological site, wine tasting trip, a cooking class at the local restaurant with chef Georgi, and the boat adventure and visit to a volcano and hot springs. I absolutely loved this trip and will definitely travel with Julie in the future again!
