Start the day with gentle restorative yoga led by our resident instructor, Elizabeth, in preparation for our group excursions.
After a continental breakfast with some warm menu selection, we will explore Black History from the Transatlantic Slave Trade through today on a walking tour of Charleston and visit the International African American Museum that opened in June 2023.*
Upon returning to the house, wind down for dinner and then participate in yoga nidra promoting rest for sleep.
*Considering the heaviness of the topics that will be covered during these tours, you will have the option of engaging in a personalized decompression exercise with Elizabeth.
Also, all guests will receive a curated set of resources, including podcast, video, and book collections from Jera and Adrienne of the Growing and Growth Collective to support the pre-trip grounding, which makes this experience accessible for people with varying levels of knowledge of agriculture and Black History.
Start day 3 with gentle restorative yoga again led by our resident instructor, Elizabeth, in preparation for our group excursions.
Engage in an interpretive tour of the McLeod Plantation followed by a multifaceted tour or the Charleston Tea Garden (formerly known as the Charleston Tea Plantation). The latter experience will include visits to the operation's factory and industrial greenhouse.
The evening's activities will depend on your preferences! Choose to join Elizabeth for a ladies night out or hang back at the house for dinner and relaxation.
Spend time reviving your soul after two days of reflection and exploration. Open the day with a resting mediation yoga led by our resident instructor Elizabeth in the late morning and then choose to go into town for shopping or hang out near the beach.
All guests will be invited to share thoughts and affirmations during the Closing (Re)Affirmation Dinner.
Following breakfast, we say goodbye-for-now and depart for home.
