About this trip

Join Bre & Flo as we step into the magic of the Mojave Desert this March at the Breathe and Flow yoga retreat right outside Joshua Tree National Park. Submerge yourself for 5 days of yoga, sound baths, breath work, lectures, workshops, guided hikes, swimming, stargazing, delicious plant-based meals crafted from local chefs, and so much more. 


With dozens of world-renowned hiking trails, gorgeous pink sunrises, a transformative sound bath, and several yoga classes that integrate pranayama and meditation, you'll cultivate love and spaciousness as you tune into nature while tuning into yourself. This is a down-to-earth retreat for those who want the grounding experience of being engulfed by the healing desert and surrounded by ancient rock formations.


Being in the vastness of the desert opens up a portal in our hearts to explore a part of the soul that has been untouched. Connect more deeply with your Self, mother nature, and those around you, while opening yourself up to new possibilities, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually by taking time to ground down in the mystical land of the Mojave Desert.

YOGA CLASSES

Practice yoga in a beautiful hardwood floor yoga studio where mats, blankets, straps, and bolsters are all provided. The yoga classes will be a vinyasa (linking movement with the breath), as well as yin/restorative (a gentle practice with longer holds - all poses on the ground). 


The creatively-sequenced classes will incorporate pranayama (breathing), strengthening, stretching, energizing, and meditation. In addition, there will be several workshops (arm balance, handstands, myofascial release) and lectures as well as tarot reading and succulent crafting. You will experience a safe and nurturing space, leaving you feeling relaxed yet energized. 


*** Thinking you're not "advanced" enough to attend yet? Think again. It doesn’t matter how long you have been practicing yoga, ALL our classes and workshops are for all levels: beginners as well as very experienced practitioners and even instructors. We start all of our workshops at the beginner level and work up throughout the session allowing students to step off the train and go back to the basics whenever they'd like. We offer a little bit of everything with nearly 20 years of combined experience of studying human anatomy/nutrition and nearly 1000 hours of yoga teaching & trainings from Thailand, India, Germany, and the US.

The Cactus Moon Retreat Center is an oasis on 2.5 acres of stunning desert with all the modern amenities. Located only 30 minutes away from Palm Springs airport right outside Joshua Tree National Park, you will feel like you’re on another planet when you arrive.

From luxury master bedrooms with vintage clawfoot bathtubs, to BYOT (bring your own tent), the center is designed for any budget and all levels of comfort. All the bedrooms are cozy and thoughtfully decorated; beds range in size from California kings to twins.

Ground Transportation

There are buses, taxis, and Lyfts from Palm Springs to Yucca Valley. Otherwise, you can drive yourself (or better yet, carpool!) We’ll have you fill out a form closer to the event to sign up for carpools. We will carpool to activities during the retreat (ie. sound bath and hiking in joshua tree).

PAYMENT

Retreat Pricing: All prices are per person and include retreat costs only; they do not include airfare, ground transportation, nor travel insurance. 


Deposit: Reserve your spot with a non-refundable $300 deposit per person. 

 

Retreat Payment: Monthly payment plans are available! Payment can only be made by credit/debit card. BnF will charge the retreat balance in full two months prior to departure (JANUARY 27, 2019) using the card on file. If full payment is not received by two months prior to Retreat Start Date, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation and fill your spot. We will make every effort to avoid this situation by contacting you prior to and on the day of the balance due date.


Payment Changes: If it is necessary to make changes to previously submitted payment types, please contact BnF at info@breatheandflow.org. Please provide your name, specify the retreat in question, and the best way to contact you. Do not submit credit card information over email.

In addition to teaching individually, Bre and Flo also teach co-lead power vinyasa classes in an approachable but challenging flow with an emphasis of body control and strength building movements by utilization of the breath to carry their students through their practice. They encourage students to play with their edge, challenging the mind in strong movements and long holds while providing a safe, encouraging, and nonjudgmental environment where each individual can achieve their full potential. They studied under Dylan Werner, Linda McGrath, Amber Henzi, Avatar Yoga School in India, and Jo Phee. They also teach restorative yin yoga specializing in myofascial release. Knowing that the body benefits from movement while the mind benefits from stillness, Bre and Flo share their philosophy of mental stillness through the fluidity of a strong practice. I came on this retreat solo and left with 23 new friends, thanks in part to the hard work Breathe and Flow put into planning the weekend and also to The Lotus Farm, the gorgeous farm that hosted and spoiled us with life-changing delicious vegetarian meals that we could all bond over :) Every part of this retreat was exactly what I was looking for in a weekend escape where I could nourish my mind, body, and soul!
Wow. Great retreat from the amount of content, the quality of that content, to the food prepared by the venue... high end restaurant quality and plenty of it! The group felt close by the end of only 48 hours and I don’t think that was coincidence... the environment created by Breathe and Flow made it so easy.
