What?
We have reserved drive up tent sites. This is a car camping event (no cabins) similar to the first-year camping trip, but with more amenities (bathrooms, shower, food, and BEER! on site).

Basecamp is a 45 minute drive from Darden and located just 10 minutes from the Blueridge Parkway with great hikes like Three Ridges, The Priest, and many others! This is on the Devils Backbone Basecamp Brewpub campus with two other cideries nearby.

Logistics?
This will be a bring your own food and gear event. There is a restaurant at the Brewpub itself – walkable from your tent site.

Check in time is 3PM Saturday (but you can arrive early and just hang out around Basecamp/go on hikes and such). Checkout is 1PM Sunday.

UVA has an outfitter (UVA Gear Rental) where you can rent tents if you're in need. Public Lands in Charlottesville also provides a gear rental service. Please reach out to DOC if you have any troubles or questions.
 

Pets?
Allowed on leashes. Make sure your pup is up to any activities you plan to do during the day, as there is nowhere to leave your dog and cars can get very hot in the Virginia sun!
