The Devotion to God- Ridi Hrishikesha falls in between Palpa and Gulmi district situated in the western region of Nepal as it is named after the mythological girl named Ruru, a famous legendary woman devotee who was in deep penance in the devotion of Lord Vishnu. The Purana says that Lord Vishnu was so happy to see Ruru in such devotion that he stood outside her hermitage and asked her to ask of him for a boon, she asked him to stay there forever. So, Lord Vishnu stayed there as Hrishikesh. There are two separate temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu and RuruKanya. A four-armed stone- image is seen inside the Hrishikesh Temple. Other places worth visiting are BhrigutungeshworMahadev, cave, Achammeshwor, Ram temple at Rudrabeni, etc.
Lots of people across the country flock to this place to worship. It is a holy site that is worth to visit.
