Fly through Lima and arrive in Cusco before noon. A van will be waiting to bring you and your luggage to the Sacred Valley and Willka T'ika. We'll have a light lunch followed by time to get settled into your room. That will be followed up by light flow yoga, opening circle, and dinner. Each evening at yoga, we will go over the schedule for the next day.
Today is the day we drop in to the pace of Willka T'ika. We start the day with a power flow followed by breakfast. A Q’ero healer from the high mountains will be on hand to lead us through an authentic and transformative Andean fire ceremony to honor Pachamama, yourself and your loved ones.
The ceremony will remind us to focus our intention for this journey and serves as a wonderful preparation of mind, body and spirit for the pilgrimage to Machu Picchu.
Power yoga, School Visit, Yin + Restorative
In an ayni exchange, the group will offer an interactive activity for the Quechua children. Continue with your guide to the spectacular ruins of P'isag. Overlooking impressive Incan terraces, the group can enjoy a hike through the ruins. Meditate as a group or walk in silent reflection.
Return to the main square of P'isaq by bus (or hike!) and visit the colorful market filled with woven goods, jewelry, wall hangings and hand-painted beadwork.
No yoga today! We'll wake up early, grab a quick breakfast and take a short van ride to Ollantaytambo. From there, we will take a 90 minute train along the Urubamba River to Aguas Calientes. After a couple of hours hiking Machu Picchu, we'll return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and shopping. The train will take us back to Ollantaytambo where a van will be waiting to take us back to Willka Tika for dinner.
Optional activities to the Ollantaytampo Sun Temple and lunch on our own in the quaint picturesque town with cobblestone streets and a visit to the colorful local market.
Visit a lively Peruvian market, and the famous Seminario ceramics shop.
After Breakfast, check-out of Willka T'ika, and depart for Cusco via group van transport. Visit the spacious Incan archeological site of Saksaywaman overlooking the city of Cusco.
