Join Eastern University for our inaugural Eastern Destinations Tour: Discover Italy!

Air is not currently included. You must depart the USA no later than October 16 in order to join the tour in Rome on October 17. Air will be available to book approximately 10 months prior to the trip.

Welcome to Rome! Meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers before a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Arrive Rome FCO by 2PM on October 17 in order to check-in and join the dinner on time.

Guided sightseeing of the Eternal City, including the Colosseum and Vatican City with the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Square, and St. Peter's Basilica. Free time late afternoon and evening.

Travel into Umbria with a stop in the medieval village of Orvieto and free time around Piazza del Duomo. Continue to Assisi to visit the Basilica of St. Francis and explore the town, then travel to Perugia for free time.

Travel to Florence for guided sightseeing of its historic center, including the cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower, Baptistry's Gates of Paradise, and Signoria Square. Continue to Padua for an orientation drive and Italian aperitivo at Café Pedrocchi.

Travel to Venice and arrive by private boat along the Giudecca Canal. Visit a historic glassworks, then choose between a guided St. Mark's Square and Doge's Palace experience with the Bridge of Sighs, or a Venetian café experience near St. Mark's Square.

Travel to Verona, the romantic city of Romeo and Juliet, and enjoy a stroll through Piazza Delle Erbe and Piazza Bra, home to the impressive Roman Arena. Continue to Milan for an orientation walk featuring La Scala Opera House, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and the Duomo, followed by an evening at leisure.

Excursion to Lake Como with a private boat ride to Bellagio, the 'Pearl of Lake Como,' and a time to enjoy the lakeside village. Return to Milan for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

The initial deposit is nonrefundable regardless of world events. All payments are nonrefundable in the event a tour participant cancels their own participation in the tour except as covered by the optional purchase of travel insurance with a cancellation benefit. Insurance is available as part of the registration process on this site.

In the event that the tour has to be rescheduled due to a Force Majeure occurence such as war or pandemic, the tour will be rescheduled to a later date.  Mayfair Travel will work with all suppliers to negotiate all funds transferred to the new dates.  If this occurs, all options for travel credit and/or refunds will be presented to all travelers based on the policies in effect at the time.

Please note that your group trip cost is being offered at a cash/check discount. Credit card payments will be billed at non-discounted (2.9-3.9% additional) rate. You can pay through this portal with your bank account details (routing and account number) or send checks to the office address. Prices are per person based on double occupancy.
