Journey into the mystic of the Lebanese culture on our highlights tour of Lebanon. Lebanon is a country with a long and rich history. Phoenician, Egyptian, Greek, Persian, Roman, Arab, Crusader, and Ottoman ruins are scattered about the country and the most important of them are easily accessible.

Our Lebanon tours visit Byblos, Beirut and Tyre, among the oldest continuously populated cities in the world. There are Roman baths in Beirut, as well as the Cardio Maximus. Byblos is rich in Crusader ruins. We visit the Place des Martyrs (Martyrs’ Square) in Beirut, a statue erected in memory of the Lebanese nationalists who were hanged by the Ottomans for revolting during World War I (the statue is now riddled with bullet holes from the civil war, but is still beautiful).

Baalbeck, one of the world’s greatest historical sites is also a highlight.

An excursion to Chouf Mountains, historically the seat of Lebanon’s Emirs and relics of their rule, from houses to courtyards and palaces, still dot the region. The Lebanon tour will visit Beit ed-dine Palace, a superb example of the Lebanese architecture of the 18th & 19th century. In addition, the village of Deir el Qamar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
