Powerscourt Gardens:

In 1844, at the age of 8,  Mervyn Wingfield, 7th Viscount Powerscourt inherited the title and the Powerscourt Estate, which comprised  (77 sq mi) of land in Ireland. When young Lord Powerscourt reached the age of 21, he embarked on an extensive renovation of the house and created the new gardens.

Main attractions in the grounds include the Tower Valley (with stone tower), Japanese gardens, winged horse statues,Triton Lake, pet cemetery, Dolphin Pond,  walled gardens, Bamberg Gate and the Italian Garden. The Pepperpot Tower is said to be designed after a favoured 3-inch pepperpot of Lady Wingfield. Of particular note is the Pets Cemetery, whose tombstones have been described as "astonishingly personal".

Waterfall:

Glendalough:

: Gleann Dá Loch, meaning 'valley of two lakes' is a glacial valley in Co Wicklow Ireland, renowned for an Early Medieval  monastic settlement founded in the 6th century by St Kevin From 1825 to 1957, the head of the Glendalough Valley was the site of a galenta lead mine.

Belvedere House:

The house was initially built by Robert Rochfort as a retreat, having incarcerated his wife in their previous home at Gaulstown, for an alleged affair with his brother Arthur. Arthur was later put on trial and fined £20,000 which he could not pay. Arthur spent 18 years in debtors' prison in Dublin but was released upon Robert's death. Robert built  The Jealous Wall after falling out with his brother George, who lived on the adjacent estate at Tudenham. His wife was only released on his death in 1774. It is said that the spirit of a woman dressed in Red can sometimes be seen floating across the lake.

Strokestown House:

Many evictions of poor tenant farmers occurred during the Great Famine. The Mahon family alone who owned the house in 1847 evicted 3,000 people. 

After the killing of Major Denis Mahon in November 1847, as a direct reaction to the large scale deaths of those sent on famine ships to Canada by the Strokestown estate at the height of the Famine, his only daughter, Grace Catherine, vowed never to return to her ancestral seat. She was on honeymoon at the time, having been married only weeks earlier, to Henry Sandford Pakenham, son of Dean Henry Pakenham of Tullynally, and heir to the vast Pakenham and Sandford estates in counties Longford, Westmeath and Roscommon. Grace Catherine never returned to Strokestown, but her marriage undoubtedly saved the estate from bankruptcy. On the eve of the Famine, the estate was in debt with over £30,000 having accrued as a result of family dispute over inheritance and expensive land purchases which had gathered from the second half of the eighteenth century. The marriage alliance (by which Henry Sandford Pakenham assumed the additional surname of Mahon), united the estates of both families to comprise over 26,000 acres, and the Strokestown estate remained one of the largest in County Roscommon until his death in 1893. The Pakenham fortune also enabled large scale investment in various estate improvement projects on the Strokestown estate, including drainage, turf cutting and agricultural schemes, development of the urban market in the town of Strokestown. However, despite the family fortunes improving Strokestown continued a policy of assisted emigration to Canada and land clearances of tenant families.

Mullaghmore drive is a beautiful coastal drive in the North West of Ireland along the Wild Atlantic Way. Some of the highest surf waves can be seen and experienced there too. 

Sliabh Liag:

Sliabh Liag meaning 'mountain of stone pillars' is a mountain on the  Atlantic  coast of Co Donegal At 601 metres (1,972 ft), it has the second-highest sea cliffs in Ireland after Croaghaun and some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe.

Belfast naturalist Robert Lloyd Praeger wrote in 1939:

A tall mountain of nearly 2000 feet, precipitous on its northern side, has been devoured by the sea till the southern face forms a precipice likewise, descending on this side right into the Atlantic from the long knife-edge which forms the summit. The traverse of this ridge, the "One Man's Path", is one of the most remarkable walks to be found in Ireland - not actually dangerous, but needing a good head and careful progress on a stormy day....The northern precipice, which drops 1500 feet into the coomb surrounding the Little Lough Agh, harbours the majority of the alpine plants of Slieve League, the most varied group of alpines to be found anywhere in Donegal.

Creevykeel Court Tomb:

 Is one of the finest examples of a court tomb  remaining in Ireland. The monument is located in Cliffoney village in Co Sligo. A second megalithic monument existed 300 meters to the north, but it was demolished around 1890.

The Creevykeel Court Tomb is one of five megalithic monuments in the area. Creevykeel has not been dated using modern scientific methods, and is estimated to date from about 3,500 BC with a long span of use and re-use.

We go to Galway to visit a very special person and his magical, sacred  Farm. Pat Noone is a healer, an owner of a farm that is rich in ancient history with standing stones, Cairns, fairy fort and  Fairy tree. 

It is a working farm but so much more and he will tell you all about it when we visit. We will also experience his dogs working with his sheep. We might even get a cup of tea and some homemade brown soda bread with butter and jam.

The Hill of Uisneach/Festival of Fire:

Is a hill and ancient ceremonial site in the Co Westmeath, Ireland. It is a protected  national monument. It consists of numerous monuments and earthworks—prehistoric and medieval—including a probable megalithic tomb, burial mounds,  enclosures, standing stones and holy wells and a medieval road. Uisneach is near the  geographical center of Ireland, and in Irish mythology,  it is deemed to be the symbolic and sacred centre of the island. It was said to be the burial place of the mythical Tuatha Dé Dannan, and a place of assembly associated with the druids  and the festival of Bealtaine.

When the sun goes down on the night of the festival the sacred fire is lit. It will be the first fire lit and then you will see all around the skyline fires lighting in celebration.

We have a choice for you today, we will visit the 13th century Parkes Castle on the shores of Lough Gill on the border of Sligo/Leitrim counties. This is a Castle rich in history and sits on the shores of a beautiful Lough Gill. The drive there has amazing scenery. We will take a boat ride on Lough Gill where we will see the famous "isle of Innisfree" and other islands too! Then we will take a scenic drive around this lake and we end up at Tobernault Holy well. This is a very special place to visit where you will see how the Irish mixed paganism and Christianity. I will tell you about the history of this place and why it is special to the Irish.

Dublin city is a great place to shop. Temple bar is a big hit with people visiting Dublin, you can go visit the Book of Kells, Christ Church, Dublin Castle and much more on your own time. Don't forget Guinness Factory or Jamison Distillery, But it will be up to you.
