Welcome to the city of love: Rome! After you land and collect your rental car, head to your hotel for a welcome drink. It's time to start enjoying your stay in Rome!

Discover the classic and ancient sides of Rome: Vatican & Colosseum

Our today tour starts with a waking sightseeing of the eternal city: Piazza del Vaticano – Vaticano Museum – Sistine Chapel.   

The Vatican is the smallest state in Europe. It has a total area of 0,44 km² and inside its wall live approximately 1000 people.

In this small state lives the Pope, in the Apostolic palace surrounded by beautiful gardens. 

Known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, the Roman Colosseum is one of the capital's most remarkable monuments. Every year over 6 million people visit it. 

The Colosseum is the main symbol of Rome. It is an imposing construction that, with almost 2,000 years of history, will bring you back in time to discover the way of life in the Roman Empire.

Later, discover Rome's ancient history with an enchanting guided tour of the three world-famous symbols of Imperial Rome: the Colosseum, the arches and temples of the Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill, the most central of the seven hills of Rome which are considered one of the oldest parts of the city

A fascinating walk around the classic beauties of Rome

Today the visit of the eternal city will let you discover: Via Veneto – The Spanish Steps – Fontana di Trevi – Piazza Navona – Pantheon – Roman Forum – Altare della Patria.


First up is a pleasant stroll through the historic center to visit the most iconic places. The guided tour starts with the Spanish Steps, one of the most monumental urban scenography of the Roman Baroque architecture, which lead to a spectacular square that will captivate you with its original butterfly-wings shape and the Fontana della Barcaccia  and walk up the Scalinata (Spanish Steps) that leads to the church of Trinità dei Monti. ou'll continue on to throw a lucky coin in the Trevi Fountain, probably the most famous and spectacular amoung the fountains in Rome.  Then, we will get the scenographic Piazza S. Ignazio, one of the most representative places in the Baroque City, dominated by St. Ignazio's Church, with its “false dome”, an amazing optical illusion! Our next stage is the Pantheon, the best preseved roman temple, dedicated to many Gods, still in use as a church. Going to our last place to visit: the marvellous  at Piazza Navona with its impressive fountains, and learn about the history of Palazzo Madama. The tour ends with the visit of St. Luigi dei Francesi Church, that keeps three amazing paintings by Caravaggio.

Visit the beautiful Villa D’Este in Tivoli

After breakfast, transfer to Tivoli by private car, to enjoy a full-day guided visit to one of the most beautiful villas near Rome. 

Villa D’Este in Tivoli is a masterpiece of the Italian Garden, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. With its impressive concentration of fountains, nymphs, grottoes, and music, it constitutes a much-copied model for European gardens in the mannerist and baroque styles. Situated in Tivoli, near Rome, the villa is a gem of architectural and landscape splendor. The extraordinary complex is famous all over the world for its splendid fountains characterized by wonderful and suggestive water displays and for being the most beautiful example of the Italian Renaissance garden in Europe.  

 At the end ov the visit, time for lunch and shopping before returning to Rome.  

 

Day 5 | Castelli Romani

Castelli Romani: Frascati, Castelgandolfo, Grottaferrata

It's time to move on to the outskirts of Rome to visit  Frascati, Castelgandolfo (Pope’s holiday house), Grottaferrata, some of the seventeen villages part the Park of the Castelli Romani  the tour will let you have an already-exhaustive window onto the area.

This tour will let you discover the villages, ancient towns, villas, medieval castles, and archaeological ruins. Located on the Alban Hills, in the past the Castelli Romani were a favorite resort for the Capital's noble families as well as for Popes.

The whole day is at your leisure.

You can see more of Rome or go for shopping. Shopping in Rome is a real experience: high-street stores, vintage shops, top-notch brands or shop somewhere away from the hustle and bustle of the city, most popular street amongst the locals, offering a mix of international and Italian brands.
