Today we continue our journey across the island, heading to the east coast and the charming town of Orosei, which will be our home base for the remainder of the trip. Known for its beautiful coastline, historic center, and relaxed pace, Orosei offers the perfect setting to unwind and soak up Sardinia’s natural beauty.

As it’s a travel day, we’ll take it slow and enjoy the ride, with plenty of time to take in the changing landscapes along the way. Once we arrive, we’ll settle into our accommodations and gather for a relaxed group dinner to toast the next chapter of our adventure together.

Shepherd for a Day: Cheese, Tradition & Countryside Tasting

Today’s excursion takes us into the heart of Sardinia’s pastoral life, where we’ll meet local shepherds and dive into the island’s deep-rooted cheese-making traditions. Set in the peaceful Sardinian countryside, this experience offers a rare glimpse into the daily life of a sheep farmer.

We’ll learn firsthand about the art of shepherding and the process behind iconic Sardinian cheeses like pecorino and ricotta. With guidance from the shepherds themselves, we’ll even get hands-on, trying our skills at age-old techniques passed down through generations.
