We had a fantastic experience with Tamarindo Diving Center, from the warm welcome at reception to the friendly and professional boat crew. We received a clear and helpful briefing about our options for snorkeling and scuba diving. The next morning we boarded the boat, and my scuba instructor, Isa, took amazing care of me during my very first dives. She helped me with the equipment and clearly explained what to expect on our discovery dive. Underwater, Isa was incredibly patient and supportive. She literally held my hand at the beginning and gradually gave me more freedom as I became more confident. I did two unforgettable dives, learned a lot from Isa, and had so much fun. I highly recommend Tamarindo Diving Center and especially Isa as an instructor!

We had a wonderful time on our snorkeling expedition to the Catalina Archipelago. The crew at Tamarindo Diving was fantastic! Everyone was welcoming and friendly, and they really know how to create a great experience for the clients. They make sure you’re safe and comfortable and they really emanate the Pura Vida life! Would 10/10 recommend Tamarindo Diving if you’re looking for a great snorkeling or diving experience while in Tamarindo.

I had a great time! This diveshop is very professional and our Divemaster Isa was awesome! It felt as she showing off her home under the sea. We are able to see many sharks, moray eels, puffer fish, scorpion fish, stars, sea ​​urchins, tumpret fish and many others. FYI for international travelers, I arrived by plane ( Sansa ) , took off at San José at 5:45 AM and 45 min later I arrived at Tamarindo and I had a driver wating for me to take me to the dive shop that is 10 minutes away. 20 mins later I was on the boat on the way to the island. You can staty the night with enough surface interval to take a flight back to San Jose next day or get a shared 5 hour shuttle back to San Jose on the same day. I would definitely return.

Catalina Island had two fun dives. Saw about 9 white tip reef sharks on the first dive. Eli was great. Looking to come back someday and do Bat Islandz

Would recommend to anyone! We went during the off season & were with Isa & Gonza who were both incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the wildlife. We were lucky enough to see multiple white tip reef sharks & our guides knew where to point out multiple shark caves for free diving. Whether you want to dive or snorkel - you should absolutely go with this group!
