About your trip

🎉 RoaminWithRonnie Presents: Thailand Takeover – Bangkok & Phuket Edition 🎉

Pack your bags, grab your passport, prepare your liver, and loosen up your dance moves—because we’re hitting Bangkok and Phuket for a once-in-a-lifetime party that’s equal parts adventure, culture, and absolute foolishness (in the best way).

First stop: Bangkok 🏙️

Welcome to Bangkok, one of the most exciting and vibrant cities in the world! Whether you’re an adventure seeker, a culture enthusiast, or a foodie looking to indulge in street eats, Bangkok has something for everyone. It’s a city that never sleeps, buzzing with energy, color, and a fascinating blend of the modern and the traditional.

From the moment you step off the plane, you'll feel the pulse of the city—a whirlwind of street markets, temples shimmering in the sun, luxury malls, and bustling nightlife. Bangkok is a city of contrasts, where ancient Buddhist temples sit side by side with sky-high modern skyscrapers. Every corner has a story, every street a new adventure.

Bangkok. is the city that never sleeps… so you might wanna get your naps in before you land! We’ll sip rooftop cocktails with skyline views, hop on longtail boats through floating markets, and maybe even get lost in a night bazaar or two (don’t worry, we’ll find you… eventually). We might even ride that infamous karaoke boat.  Yes… that’s a thing.

Next: Phuket 🏖️

Nestled on the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea, Phuket is not just Thailand's largest island—it’s an epic blend of stunning beaches, cultural richness, and lively entertainment. Located in Southern Thailand, Phuket is the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, where travelers can bask in sun-drenched beaches, explore vibrant local markets, and uncover ancient traditions.

With a fascinating Chinese influence, you’ll find temples, shrines, and Chinese restaurants scattered around the city, particularly around Old Phuket Town, where you can admire the colorful, colonial-style buildings and ornate architecture.

Picture it—white-sand beaches by day, neon lights and beats by nigh, and beach bars with music so good you’ll swear you’re in a music video. Whether it’s poolside lounging, island hopping, or dancing barefoot on the sand, we’ll party like rockstars until the moon calls it quits. We’ll sip cocktails on longtail boats, dance till sunrise, and feast on fresh seafood.

💡 Important Travel Tip: Get your naps in before you come. We’re partying like rockstars, and sleep is a luxury you might not see again until we land back home.

This isn’t just a trip—it’s a celebration of life and friendship. Whether you’re here for the adventure, the laughs, or just to post Instagram pics that make your coworkers jealous, you’ll come back with stories you’ll tell for the next decade (some of which we’ll make you swear to never repeat).

Thailand: Where My Heart Learned to Roam

Five years ago, I touched down in Thailand… and left with a piece of it forever in my heart. From the glowing temples of Bangkok to the sun-kissed beaches of Phuket, every moment was pure magic. I laughed until my cheeks hurt, danced until sunrise, and ate food so good it ruined me for takeout forever.

The best part? It was shockingly affordable—proof that paradise doesn’t have to break the bank.

At RoaminWithRonnie, every journey is personal, powerful, and rooted in my deep love for Thailand. Now, I’m heading back with friends to see some of the attractions I missed the first time and let's not forget about the shopping. So whose ready to make memories?

So come roam with me.
Discover the warmth.
Feel the rhythm.
Live the magic.

City/Temple Tour of Bangkok / Mall

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, our adventure begins.

Get ready to temple-hop like a legend on this 4-hour Bangkok city tour that blends jaw-dropping sights, rich culture, and just the right amount of swagger. This isn’t just sightseeing—it’s a front-row pass to Thailand’s spiritual and architectural icons, done the local way. 😌✨

How we get around? No tour buses here. We’ll travel like locals, hopping on trains and boats to move through the city. It’s faster, greener, and way more authentic—plus, cruising the Chao Phraya River beats sitting in traffic any day. 🚆🚤

First stop: Wat Trimit — The Golden Temple
We start strong in Chinatown with a serious flex: the 5.5-ton solid gold Buddha. Yes, solid gold. Dating back to the 13th century and standing nearly 5 meters tall, this Buddha is history, mystery, and luxury all rolled into one. Consider this your official welcome to Bangkok. ✨

Next up: Wat Pho — Temple of the Reclining Buddha
Cue the gasps. Home to the legendary 46-meter-long Reclining Buddha, Wat Pho is massive, majestic, and absolutely unforgettable. Covered in gold leaf and rich in detail, this World Heritage–listed temple complex is also the birthplace of traditional Thai massage—because spiritual enlightenment should come with relaxation.

Final showstopper: Wat Arun — Temple of Dawn
We cross the river by boat and let the drama unfold. Wat Arun rises straight out of the Chao Phraya River, covered in colorful porcelain and shimmering in the light. Different from every other temple in the city, this riverside icon knows how to steal the spotlight. Golden hour here? Pure magic. 🌅

Along the way, you’ll gain insight into living Thai traditions, cultural landmarks, and the everyday rhythm of Bangkok—seen not from behind a bus window, but right in the middle of it all.

This tour is bold, beautiful, and brilliantly local. Temples, trains, boats, and brag-worthy photos—Bangkok didn’t just show up, it showed off. 🛕🔥

Now, let's freshen up put on some comfortable shoes and head back out. We continue our day right in central Bangkok with lunch in the Chidlom / Ploenchit district—think stylish cafés, polished restaurants, and air-conditioned comfort to ease you into the afternoon. Refueled and feeling fabulous, it’s time to dive into Bangkok’s most fashionable experience. 🍽️✨

Our first highlight is the Louis Vuitton Visionary Experience at LV The Place Bangkok (Gaysorn Amarin). Sleek, immersive, and effortlessly cool, this exhibition blends fashion, art, and storytelling into a walk-through experience that’s as photogenic as it is inspiring. Take your time exploring the space, then level up the moment with a drink or dessert at Le Café Louis Vuitton—because luxury tastes better with a sweet treat. ☕👜

From there, we ease into shopping mode—no taxis, no stress—this area is made for walking.

Just steps away is Gaysorn Village, an ultra-chic, calm luxury mall featuring brands like Dior, Prada, Fendi, and Gentle Monster. It’s refined, elegant, and perfect for browsing without the chaos of larger malls. Slow strolls, great lighting, and polished vibes only.

Next, we glide along the covered skywalk to CentralWorld, one of the largest malls in Asia. This is where high-end meets high-street, with endless options for fashion, beauty, souvenirs, and tech. Don’t miss the Apple Store, Thai designer boutiques, or the food court if you’re craving local flavors without leaving the mall.

We finish strong in Bangkok’s iconic shopping triangle:
Siam Paragon → Siam Center → Siam Square.

Here’s where variety reigns supreme.

  • Siam Paragon brings the luxury heavy hitters and a gourmet food hall.

  • Siam Center turns up the creativity with edgy, fashion-forward brands.

  • Siam Square keeps it fun and youthful with street fashion, cafĂŠs, matcha stops, and dessert breaks.

Expect photo ops at every turn, excellent coffee stops, and the kind of shopping that makes you forget what time it is. 📸🛍️

This afternoon is all about style, ease, and experiencing Bangkok at its most polished—luxury, culture, and retail therapy, all perfectly walkable in the heart of the city.

Floating Market and Train Ride

Breakfast at the Hotel 🍳☕
Fuel up with a hearty breakfast at the hotel because today we’re heading out early for one of Thailand’s most unforgettable experiences. Trust us—it’s worth the early alarm.

🚆 Into the Countryside: Scenic Local Train Ride

Our one hour journey begins with a charming, non–air-conditioned local train ride from Ban Laem Railway Station. This isn’t your average train experience—this is real Thailand. 🌾

As the train rattles through the countryside, expect lush green landscapes, village homes just inches from the tracks, and locals going about their daily lives. Everything feels close, raw, and wonderfully authentic.

🚨 The Famous Train Market Moment

Mae Klong Railway Market (Hoop Rom Market)

Get your cameras ready—this is a one hour show you’ll never forget. 📸
At the legendary Maeklong Railway Market, vendors sell fresh produce, seafood, and snacks directly on the tracks. Then suddenly… the whistle blows. A full-sized train slowly rolls straight through the market as stalls magically fold back in seconds.
It’s thrilling, chaotic, and completely mesmerizing—one of Thailand’s most iconic sights.

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market

Next, we head to the pier where a traditional long-tail boat awaits. 🚤
Glide through peaceful canals lined with wooden houses, waving locals, and floating vendors balancing baskets of fruit and street food. This is postcard-perfect Thailand. 1 hour

At Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, soak up the colors, sounds, and flavors as boats drift by selling everything from fresh coconut ice cream to handmade souvenirs. This experience will lasts 1 hour.

Ater the markets, let's get one more temple in before heading home. Rising dramatically just outside the city, Wat Samphran, famously known as the Dragon Temple, is one of Thailand’s most surreal and unforgettable hidden gems. This towering 17-story pink temple is wrapped by a massive emerald dragon spiraling toward the sky — symbolizing strength, protection, and spiritual ascent. Adventurous visitors can actually walk inside the dragon as they climb toward the top, where peaceful views and sacred shrines await. The climb costs 80 Thai Baht (฿80) and offers a truly unique experience blending mythology, culture, and breathtaking photo opportunities — a must-see stop for travelers looking beyond the ordinary temples of Bangkok.

After a morning packed with unforgettable moments, we make our way back to Bangkok. The tour concludes at MBK Center, the perfect spot to continue exploring, shop for souvenirs, or we can grab dinner at a local restaurant or a well-earned Thai iced tea. 🛍️🥤

Wake up in paradise because today is a full-on Phuket moment. We kick things off with breakfast at the hotel, fueling up for a day packed with unforgettable experiences. Pro tip: bring your swimsuit—you’re going to need it. 👙🩳

Our first stop is time for something truly special and meaningful: a visit to Elephant Jungle Sanctuary. Here, we experience ethical elephant tourism at its best—feeding and showering these gentle giants while learning about their care and conservation. It’s hands-on, heart-warming, and often a trip highlight for many travelers. 🐘💦

Next, we turn up the adrenaline just a notch with a quick jetcar ride—short, sweet, and seriously fun. It’s the perfect burst of speed, ocean breeze, and “wow, I’m really in Phuket” energy. 🚤💨

After that we'll head to hotel to freshen up before heading to the wildly Instagram-famous Ma Doo Bua—home of the iconic giant lily pads. This is where the magic happens. Expect a professional drone photoshoot capturing you floating, posing, and living your best main-character life on the lily pads. Yes, it’s as dreamy as it looks online. 📸🌸 We can also have lunch here or a place in the area in Phuket Old Town.

Day 8 - 4/24 Friday

Day 8 - 4/24 Friday image

Phi Phi Island Hopping Tour

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel, the perfect way to fuel up for an island hopping adventure through Phi Phi Islands.

Pack your swimsuits, tuck sunscreen into a side pocket, and double-check your phone battery as you'll want to be fully charged today.

By 7:30 a.m., Phuket is already awake. A smooth hotel pickup (or meeting point arrival) sets the rhythm for the day as you’re whisked toward the coast. Palms blur past the window, anticipation rising with every mile. We'll head to Sea Angel Pier, where the experience officially begins—registration, insurance check-in, snorkel gear ready and waiting. There’s time for a complimentary coffee or tea, a quiet moment to watch boats bob against the dock, engines humming softly like they know they’re headed somewhere special.

The speedboat cuts across the Andaman Sea, salt spray in the air, as limestone cliffs begin to rise from the water. The first stop is Maya Bay—an icon. Even from the boat, it’s impossible not to pause. The white sand curves perfectly between towering cliffs, the water shifting from jade to electric blue. Famous for its role in The Beach, Maya Bay still feels cinematic, still feels unreal. You breathe it in, knowing you’re seeing one of Thailand’s most storied shores.

Next comes Pileh Bay, a lagoon so vividly turquoise it looks filtered by nature itself. Here, time slows. You slip into warm, crystal-clear water, floating beneath dramatic rock walls that echo with laughter and splashes. Paddle boards glide quietly across the surface. For those chasing the perfect shot, a traditional longtail boat drifts nearby—your guide happy to help frame a photo that feels straight out of a travel magazine.

From serenity to playful chaos, Monkey Beach delivers a different kind of magic. Depending on the tide, you may step onto the sand or admire it from the boat, but the stars are always present—curious monkeys darting along the shore, climbing rocks, and reminding you that this is their island, not ours.

By midday, we will arrive at Phi Phi Don, the heartbeat of the archipelago. Snorkelers stay aboard, heading out to explore coral gardens and schools of colorful fish, while others step onto the island for lunch at Alida Restaurant. Plates arrive fragrant and generous, the kind of meal that tastes even better when you’ve earned it. After snorkeling wraps up, everyone reunites, sun-kissed and smiling.

The afternoon unfolds at Koh Khai Nai, a postcard-perfect island where powdery sand meets shallow, sparkling water. Fish dart around your ankles. Masks go back on for one last snorkel, or you simply stretch out on the beach, letting the day sink in. This is the moment you wish you could pause—salt on your skin, camera full, heart lighter.

By late afternoon, the speedboat turns back toward Phuket. The sea softens, conversations grow quieter, and there’s a shared feeling of satisfaction. We'll arrive safely at the pier around 4:30–5:00 p.m., thanked warmly before the transfer returns us back to the hotel.

Day 9 - 4/25 Saturday

Day 9 - 4/25 Saturday image

Phuket City Tour w/Tiger Experience

The day begins slowly and intentionally, with a good breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast at the hotel (coffee secured, energy restored), we’re heading out for a morning that’s equal parts culture, calm, and “wow, that’s beautiful.” Grab your sunglasses, dress respectfully, and get ready to temple-hop like a pro.

First stop: Wat Phra Thong Temple 🛕

This one’s iconic. Home to the mysterious half-buried golden Buddha, Wat Phra Thong is the kind of place that makes you pause, stare, and say, “How did that get there?” It’s serene, powerful, and full of legend—perfect for grounding the day and snapping a few meaningful photos. You’ll want to take a moment to appreciate the peaceful energy here—trust me, your Instagram will thank you. 📸✨

Next up: Wat Phra Nang Sang Temple 🌿

One of the oldest temples in Phuket, and she knows it. This stop brings history, ornate details, and peaceful vibes wrapped into one. Wander the grounds, admire the ancient Buddha images, and soak up the quiet beauty that feels worlds away from the beach crowds. Get ready for some serious cultural immersion—feel the ancient magic in the air. ✨💛

Final stop: Wat Sri Sunthon Temple ✨

And yes, this is the one with the giant reclining Buddha—casually lounging on the roof like it owns the place (because it does). This temple is striking, photogenic, and the perfect grand finale to our cultural tour. Expect calm energy, beautiful surroundings, and plenty of “this is so Phuket” moments. We’ll take time here for a few quiet moments and epic photo ops. Get that #ZenVibes shot. 🙏🏼💖

By the time we’re done, you’ll be zen, enlightened, and culturally fed—with the rest tour still ahead of you. Phuket doesn’t just do beaches… it does beauty, history, and a little bit of sass too. 🌴💫

A Quick Note on Dressing Respectfully 👗

When you’re visiting these sacred sites, let’s keep it chic and respectful. No tank tops, no short shorts, no flip-flops—we’re talking shoulders and knees covered, people! So, ladies, a nice long skirt or pants with a covered top will do the trick, and gents, please avoid sleeveless shirts. Think modest, yet fashionable—after all, you’ve got to look cute while you're soaking in all that spiritual energy.

A scarf or shawl can also be a lifesaver in case you need to cover your shoulders. Be cool, be comfy, but most importantly—be respectful. These temples are sacred spaces, and we want to honor that while snapping those Instagram-worthy moments.

Our city tours starts at 1:00 p.m., so with your walking shoes on and smart phone in hand, you step out to explore on your own. The morning is ideal for a gentle stroll nearby—perhaps a quiet café stop, a beachfront walk, or a quick browse through local shops while the island is still calm and uncrowded. It’s the kind of morning that lets you settle in, get your bearings, and feel connected before the day truly unfolds.

By early afternoon, it’s time to head out and truly explore. The first stop is one of Phuket’s most iconic landmarks: The Big Buddha. Rising 45 meters above Nakkerd Hill, the massive white marble statue dominates the skyline while radiating a sense of peace. From this elevated viewpoint, the island stretches out in every direction—lush hills, clusters of rooftops, and the shimmer of the sea in the distance. The atmosphere is calm and reflective, a gentle escape from the bustle below, and a perfect place to pause, breathe, and take in the moment.

From there, the tour shifts gears with a visit to Tiger Park, an experience that blends adrenaline with awe. Set against a jungle backdrop, the park offers a rare chance to see these magnificent animals up close. The tigers—powerful, alert, and surprisingly serene—move with an effortless grace that commands attention. Whether observing them from a safe distance or choosing a guided interaction, the experience is unforgettable. It’s humbling to stand so near such raw beauty, gaining a deeper appreciation for the animal and the care taken to ensure a controlled, respectful environment.

After the intensity of Tiger Park, the journey eases into cultural discovery at Wat Chalong, Phuket’s most important Buddhist temple. The temple grounds are rich with detail—golden accents, intricate carvings, and murals that tell stories of faith and history. Incense drifts through the air, bells chime softly, and locals pause to pray. It’s a space that invites quiet reflection, whether you’re learning about Thai culture, lighting incense, or making a small wish for good luck.

Next, you’re welcomed into the vibrant charm of Phuket Old Town. Streets lined with colorful Sino-Portuguese buildings create a backdrop that feels both historic and lively. You wander past pastel façades, stop at cozy coffee shops, sample local street food, and capture Instagram-worthy moments along Thalang Road and Soi Romanee. If it’s a Sunday, the Walking Street Market brings extra energy—music, food stalls, and people filling the streets with movement and color.

The day concludes at Naka Market, a weekend favorite bursting with local flavor. The scent of grilled seafood, freshly made roti, and sweet mango sticky rice fills the air. Stalls overflow with handmade crafts, souvenirs, and casual fashion, inviting you to browse, snack, and soak in the lively atmosphere. It’s relaxed, authentic, and full of life—an ideal way to end a day that’s blended nature, culture, wildlife, and local rhythm into one unforgettable Phuket experience.

Day 10 - 4/26 Sunday

Day 10 - 4/26 Sunday image

Free Day in Phuket / Night flight to Bangkok

It's our last night in Phuket an we're going to make the most of it before heading back to Bangkok. Our adventure is slowing down—oh no, but we’re finishing strong.

But before reality even thinks about creeping in, we're going to squeeze every last drop of magic out of the day.

Think last-minute sightseeing, iconic city views flashing past the window, and that unmistakable Phukett energy humming in the air. Maybe it’s a quick stop to snap a final skyline photo. Maybe it’s wandering into a hidden street market because—why not?

And then… Thai massage time. 💆‍♀️
Because if you’re leaving Thailand without one last massage, did you even go? Whether it’s a blissful foot massage or a full traditional Thai stretch-fest, this is your moment to melt into relaxation before the journey home.

Still got room for mischief? Good.
We tap things off with shopping, Phuket-style—souvenirs, statement pieces, gifts you definitely didn’t plan to buy, and maybe something fabulous just for you. From chic malls to lively markets, Phukt delivers retail therapy like no other.

One last massage. One last shop. One last “wow.”
Bangkok, you always know how to steal the show. ✨

Day 11 4/27 - Monday

And just like that… it’s almost time to head home — but don’t get it twisted, nobody’s leaving empty-handed. You’re heading back with stories that sound like movies, sun-kissed memories, a camera roll begging for storage, and a little extra swagger that only travel can give 😎🌍

From unforgettable moments to spontaneous laughs, late nights, early mornings, island vibes, city lights, and everything in between — THANK YOU for being part of this RoaminWithRonnie journey. You showed up with curiosity, good energy, and pure adventure spirit, and that’s what made this trip one for the books.

Now here’s the twist in the travel story ✈️✨

Some of us are keeping the adventure going with a 2-day layover in Abu Dhabi, soaking up a little more world before officially heading home — which means we won’t be landing back until 4/29.

If you’re not hanging out with us in Abu Dhabi, safe travels back home — we’ll be sending you love (and probably a few jealous-worthy pics 😉).

If this experience made your heart happy, your soul fuller, and your passport prouder — do us a favor:

📣 Spread the word.
Tell your friends. Tell your coworkers. Tell that one person who’s always saying “I need a vacation.”

And don’t forget to tag, share, and shout out ✨ RoaminWithRonnie ✨ — because the best trips deserve to be talked about loud and proud.

This may be the end of this adventure… but it’s only the beginning of many more.
More destinations. More laughs. More memories loading…

Until we roam again — travel safe, stay fly, stay curious, and keep chasing the world. 🌍🔥
