What an amazing trip! So much was packed into each day, it was so well organised with great food, volunteering experiences, activities including cooking, cycling, kayaking and hiking. We went from Hanoi, Halong Bay, Nimh Binh, Hue, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh and the Mekong Delta. Making a difference to a family in helping to build a chicken coop and upgrade their living conditions made the trip so worthwhile, while teaching me new skills. Thoroughly recommend Jane and T in making the trip so special.

Wow! What just happened? I travelled to Vietnam in November with WayToTravel. The trip was a 17 day ethical volunteering adventure starting in Hanoi and finishing in Ho Chi Minh City. Every day was packed with adventure, fun and learning about the culture of this wonderful country. Our 3 day work project involved renovating the bathroom and outside courtyard for a lovely family. Mr Bing could not work as he was disabled following a stroke. His wife was the sole breadwinner and also cared for Mr Bing and their 2 young boys. We also built them a chicken coop and they were provided with 50 chicks to supplement their income. It’s very emotional to know you’ve changed the lives of an otherwise struggling family. Now, there’s a long list of activities that were organised by Mr T, our tour guide, friend, mentor and true superhero on the whole trip. Going above and soooooo beyond all expectations to ensure we all had the best experiences. Check out the itinerary on WayToTravel website. There are city walks, visits to temples and markets, boat cruises, river trips, cooking classes, farming, mud fishing, demonstrations of crafting and join in experiences, cycle rides through the countryside, rickshaw rides around the cities, teaching at a local school, gosh and so much more. The visit to the cu chi tunnels and the war remnants museum was particularly emotional. Accommodation - 8 changes- was pretty good and many meals are included in the cost of the trip. It’s great to experience the cuisine of Vietnam but I did put on several pounds! Nancy would be concerned about what to eat but Mr T gave us recommendations at each place. I can’t begin to even understand how you organise 15 people getting them around the country, organising every activity, all perfectly timed and with a lot of patience! 😉. Thank you WayToTravel for a truly fulfilling experience.

I returned yesterday from life changing tour with #WayToTravel Vietnam. The attached picture before and after of the family we helped speaks loud. We built chicken coop and provided 50 chicks, renovated bathroom and installed shower and poured concrete in front of house with fixing steps for easy access. These were only 3 days of our work but but big change for family. We collected extra money to buy bike and desk for boys and some food and bathroom accessories for family. All 17 days of this trip are filled with visiting beautiful places, eating delicious food, spending time with old friends and making new ones. All that perfectly organized and our guide Mr. T went way above his responsibilities - providing suggestions and even organizing food tour in his hometown Hue in his free time. If you go try egg coffee, salty coffee (my favourite), coconut coffee. Favourite place is hard to choose - water puppet show was something I’ve never seen before. I liked crowded cities but also quiet times at homestay. And people, people, people - so friendly.😍 I recommend 100%

The reason I did this trip was because I wanted to go to Vietnam and had read reviews about Jane and Mr. T and was so impressed. Absolutely confirmed by our trip. Just returned 2 weeks ago. From booking our trip to completing the trip, Jane was so responsive and helpful. We arrived in Hanoi and were greeted by Mr. T and our driver and whisked off to our hotel. We arrived a day early and highly recommend this to do the Handicraft Village day tour. Just fabulous meeting most of our group and experiencing both Jane and Mr. T’s joy, fun and volumes of information. What a great day with hands on crafts and experiences. The whole tour was packed with incredible experiences, getting involved with the culture, cooking lessons, hilarious and enjoying our ‘master pieces’., and traveling on buses, a cruise ship, an overnight train, bikes, scooters, planes, hiking, swimming! So action packed and our group got on so well together. Our weather was amazing! Despite being hit by Typhoon Trami, Jane and Mr. T did what was in our best interests and made it into an adventure. We were so well taken care of with Mr. T informing us each day what to expect for the next day, what to wear, what footwear, and organized scooters for people who couldn’t manage long bike rides. And on days where we had free time, he gave wonderful suggestions for restaurants, massages, getting our laundry done. Mr T drove on his scooter with 18 bags of clothing to the laundry and a few hours later it was delivered to our hotel! Jane and Mr. T are passionate about what they do and it showed everyday in their laughter and organization. Our 3 day community work was amazing and such a blessing. Getting to work alongside the locals, eating at a neighbors home and being able to make a difference is someone’s life was humbling and heartwarming. Just sign up, you will be so well taken care of and see so much of Vietnam and experience their kind, gentle culture. Jane is planning northern Vietnam for the future, I will definitely go on that trip.

Way to Travel is the best way to discover Vietnam. We saw and did so much! The guides are tremendous and so very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the various regions of Vietnam. I have done quite a few give back tours, and this one was by far the best! I would recommend (and have recommended) this tour for anyone interested in Vietnam or in doing a give back tour. Way to Travel is awesome! They put us up in nice hotels near the best parts of the locations we visited. The home stays were above and beyond any I have been in before. The restaurants and tours were outstanding. Their suggestions for restaurants, spas, and activities on our free time were spot on. And the highlight of the tour, volunteer part , was so well organized. If you want to see Vietnam, Way to Travel is the best! I will be looking for future tours from them, for sure!

If you are looking for an amazing Adventure plus give back tour Way to Travel is the Company to show you Vietnam. This was my second trip to Vietnam with a group and loved everything about it. Jane is fantastic in her role with Way to Travel and also as our tour guide. Mr T "Just a Tour Guide" is a wonderful Guide, so helpful, understanding also loves to tease and joke around. Both Jane and Mr T made our trip such a wonderful experience and wish them the best in life. It was a pleasure to meet Matt and Phi. I hope that we can all catch up again in the near future. Love to Vietnam you have a piece of my heart

I was on the March 2024 Tour. it was an amazing experience. Mr. T was amazing! He had gone above and beyond in his expertise of his beautiful homeland of Vietnam. The Volunteer Project was alot of work but fun too. it made us feel so good in what we did to enhance the lives of a local village family. On this tour we saw many beautiful sights, fantastic food tour, a couple of performances, and made new friendships! I plan to return next year to spend more time at their beautiful beaches! Thank you so much to Jane and Mr. T! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
