The majority of people with African ancestry may trace their roots to Ghana and West Africa. It is possible that many of the ancestors of the African diaspora originated from or traveled through Ghana because more than 70% of the forts and castles that were either designed to retain slaves or repurposed to do so are situated along Ghana's coastline. On this journey, learn about the sacrifices and accomplishments made by pan-African heroes in Africa and America's past, present, and future. You will feel liberated learning about the cultural and political accomplishments of so many great Africans while touring the numerous now-silent memorials along Ghana's shoreline, museums, and other significant buildings. As we go through Ghana, we will hear about the fight for civil rights and the fight for emancipation, which helps us reconnect to our cultural history. You will finish the trip by taking part in a customary naming ceremony and eating at home with a local family that belongs to your ethnic group.
